I think it's actually the blower that makes it surge like that, my buddies boat does the same thing. I don't know weather the caption in the video about the cam is true.
A lot of Chevy race motors have a 2/6 cam swap, so they fire even. Better exhaust scavenging, I think.
It almost spoils the sound of that blower seeing the remains of the snowstorm MN got in the background, winters coming!
That is badass! In the other videos below that,.there is one called Hell Camino that is pretty badass also!! pretty much shows some of the build and the true flames paint being done. bitchin car.
umm yeah, sounds like it would be fun to get back on the trailer for sure!!! chug chug, LUNGE, chug chug, LUNGE
Well of course it's not yours. If it was yours...we would be giving you all kinds of crap. It was just an observation. I still want to play with a blower motor. How far would I have to under drive an 8-71 to run it on a 425 Nailhead? There's no way it will fit between the water outlet and the distributor anyway. Maybe I'll just list in the classifieds and stop torturing myself. Thanks for the videos by the way.
My personal opinion on the idle is the idle setting of the barrel valve. Going with a higher psi spring usually helps the idle. The noise from my experience is usually from a fuel surge, so bringing up the pressure on the idle circuit may help out some bit, but that's just my opinion.
i used to be into truck pulling, there was a guy at an indoor show one time with a blown 4x4, when he would pull the truck into gear it would just sit in one spot and spin all 4 wheels every time the engine surged, he was a tobacco farmer, the truck was the orange blossom special.
This is the Orange Blossom Special I remember: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/x3Zr0_VuaII&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/x3Zr0_VuaII&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
