What are the traditional car clubs in the area?

 

CAUTION: visitors to Phoenix,our governor(Obama's buddy) got speed cameras stuck up all over the Valley,my wife got a ticket in the mail today@ $181.50 ouch!

 

Going in the back way last year to West World, I sat at a left turn light for what seemed like forever. Finally looked both ways and turned. Before I could get through the intersection, the car behind me lit up and I got a big fat ticket for running a red light! Was able to take an online class to void the ticket. The officer was a genuine prick. Seems the left turn signals in Scottsdale are on timers.

Yes, welcome to the New Peoples Republic of Arizona. Some 60 new stationary speed cameras and 40 mobile units. Done wonders for traffic flow around here.


Anyway, there is some spots of hooliganism still alowed. I will be hosting my 7th annual Open house party on the 15th, Saturday night. Come for the free food and bang on some metal.

If my plans continue to materialize, I'll be in AZ from the 5th thru the 21st...and Scottsdale is on my list of "must do's".

May even have a borrowed hot rod to make the scene in.

 

I will be in the swap area as well. Will have my 56 Wagon with me (not for sale) and will be selling some parts, a couple thousand old magazines, ads, toys and memorabilia. All money earned that weekend is going toward disc brakes for the wagon. Look for the Wagon and stop by and say hello....

 

H&H Flatheads will be there. Let me know if you want me to bring anything extra to save shipping.

I'll be there, got my confirmation (#23) and hotel reservation info........I'm coming up early Thursday..........hope to hear some shop tour info prior. With RB's gone, I wonder what the schedule will be. I'll have my alliance tags with me, but I'll be incognito in a too new, too shiny ride.

 

I don't think it's the FIRST thing on Thursday, but Squeeg's Kustoms is having the lunch part starting at 11 am. Be there or be, well, somewhere else, I guess....

I decided just today that I won't be able to go. Too soon after surgery to push myself that hard. Besides, I'd REALLY want to stay late and party at ElPolacko's shop! That's the part thats hardest to turn down.

small group from north san diego are planning on making the trip, no car for me this year, unless those elves show back up and finnish it at night but i think the dog scarred them away cause progress sure has been slow.

 

Don't know what day(s)..but I will be up there with a few friends.
