Garage find! Abandonded Custom T'Bird!

While cleaning up what looks like an abandoned garage filled with junk (nobody home) out in the country, I found this under a tarp. It looks like the Batmobile, sorta. I can have it for free, all I have to do is figure out how to get it out around all the junk piled around it. I figure it's abandoned because there is junk all around the building too, and no sign of activity around for a long time. I don't need another project, but this looks too good to pass up.

Whaddya think? Is it worth saving?

The place does not look too abandoned to me. Just because nobodys home? Power to the lights. That covertible does not look abandoned to me, you going to take that too? Do you have permission to even be there? I hope you are just kidding, right?

 

If you can get the car for free it is worth the time invested to move the crap out of the way. Personally, I think you would be foolish to not take that Bird.

 

I think that if you haven't talked to the property owner and he said "Take it", it's theft.

if thats a factory setup with the rear tonneau cover or whatever they call that, thats a VALUABLE car... someone would gladly put that back to stock

The real story is it's a car in his profile and he's thoroughly yanked all your chains.

Likely some kind of sarcastic "should I get off my ass and do something" thread.

And the answer is yes, do something. Take that 5.0 emblem, open the shop window, and fastball that sucker.

. Actually, it isn't TECHNICALLY abandoned, more like neglected. I have read those threads, the most recent being the Packards in fenced in lot in Detroit where the guy posting said he was going back to get some parts . If there's nobody around, it must be abandoned, right?

Just having some fun, thought I'd see if anybody thought an old T'Bird was worth repainting. It's my messy shop, I uncovered the 'Bird when I was cleaning up to get the Diamond T in, and just shot some photos to inspire me to get busy and get the thing painted. Got tagged in the parking lot at work, right after I put new Salt Flats on it 4 years ago, started DA'ing off the paint, and haven't touched it since.

i already got fooled by the pearl of shangri-la thread, so i was preppared... thats a cool looking bird though man, why not repaint it?
