well-since no on else finalized a location- I will be by here at this time and hopefully some of y'all will stop by too. Ill probably be in a red polo shirt with my logo on it or a gray shop shirt with a HUGE logo on the back. Staying at Circus Circus if anyone else is and wants some late nigth socializing too in their bar(s). See you then
Ok Lenny, I'll try to find it after my meeting at AAPEX. If anyone is there after 5 PM, I'll have a beer with you. If no one's there, I'll have a damn beer by myself. Pete
LOL- last year I ended up doing a quick beer there - like 3 beers in 20 minutes- then went to the ARMO meeting...lol
Hey Fellas, this is crazy. We have a cool opportunity to meet some fellow HAMBers from across the country (I'm tired of running into Bad Bob at shows! j/k). Is Kirk's car outside or inside? If it's outside let's meet their at the end of the day so the guys who actually have to work the show can come by after hours. Tuesday or Wednesday or everyday??? Sean
We went WAY out of our box and did a Car with the Fender Guitars Custom Shop and Toyota. I'm not going to go but I would really appreciate if someone could take some pics of the display for me....it'll be in the Toyota booth as "project 6-string". You'll know when you see it.....pretty wild. Sean stitched up the interior and an amp with a Custom Shop guitar. Just want to see the display and sign..... thanks in advance!
The 47-53 Chevy truck I did for Dynacorn is supposed to be there. I just got a call from the painter saying it made it just fine. Any picks of it would be great, supposed to be sliver and gunmetal grey.
an outside bar like thing between the convention Ctr and the Hilton. How about there on Wednesday at 4-4:30pm I'm carpooling with my friend, and staying out at Primm. If I can talk him into hanging, I'll be there. Tall guy with freshly dyed long Black hair (for tomorrow).
Theres a group starting that'll be heading over to the Hofbrau House Thursday night, after the show. Maybe twenty-or two hundred by the end of the night?! Arrive sober, leave drunk.. . . . .. . . . . . . . .
Leaving in a few minutes to head to Vegas. Hope to see some of you guys there. Bright light city gonna set my soul Gonna set my soul on fire Got a whole lot of money thats ready to burn, So get those stakes up higher Theres a thousand pretty women waitin out there And theyre all livin devil may care And Im just the devil with love to spare Viva las vegas, viva las vegas
We are just fiishing up the truck and loading in the trailer to bring it down for Sema. See you all there. Scott
we are gettin on a flight at noon out of detroit. the truck and trailer is already there. we left it in storage there after the CHRR so when we get there it's right to work to clean the dersert dust off and get it to look good.see ya at the dynamat booth.
an outside bar like thing between the convention Ctr and the Hilton. How about there on Wednesday at 4-4:30pm Well I guess that's the final decision. I'll be there if I can (like not at the other end of the world) I'll be walking around with an O'Brien Truckers shirt on (denim, embroidered over the pocket - different color every day) so stop me and say Hi if you see me walking by. Leaving in the morning (Sat 11/1) Oh, I'll be in section A at the drags on Sundat 11/2
an outside bar like thing between the convention Ctr and the Hilton. How about there on Wednesday at 4-4:30pm If that's the final decision. I'll be there too, unless you guys are snugglin' at the bar, then forget it!
Back home now and glad damn glad. The foot traffic was down dramatically over the last 12 years I have attended and the vendors as well. The coolest thing about the show for me was meeting Mike LaVella, Alex Gambino and KIRK! ( not to mention seeing Kirks car in person ) All very cool people to say the least.
Lot's of holes in the aisles cleverly filled with cars and set up as "lounge" areas. Holley pulled out and the word on the street was that a lot of last minute deals were cut with venders ready to pull the plug. A lot of "last minute" no shows didn't help. I suspect that a lot of companies will be pissed when they find out the booth next door was sold at a discount. I've been to these shows off and on for 45 years (there were three shows put on by Noel Carpenter before the first SEMA show in Dodger Stadium) and the "buzz" was missing this year. A sign of the times?
I told KIRK! that I really enjoyed his Fonzie posts and he said "who?" Then I said yeah I got ya and he replied that he was sure" Fonzie was here." SEMA is a Fonzie show 99% and a HAMB show maybe 1%.......Bling Bling Beeatch. Special Off Topic Note - Lexani had two of the new Dodge Challengers with 9.5" extended rear quarter panels sporting 24X13.5" rear wheels with a 10" lip....All I have to say is that I am NOT a MOPAR guy but those two cars looked BAD ASS. Kinda like the JADA toys muscle car replicas.....Word.
My boss just got back and E-mailed me that it was ho-hum this year. Any truth in that compared to previous years?
