here is mine in my coupe..its a vintage glass door knob

 

That glass door knob is kind of cool. If you think about it, there are a lot of things that can be converted into shift knobs, but I've always just liked regular, classic-looking shift knobs. Once you start shifting a grenade knob, it just starts to get a little tacky to me. I like keeping things clean. My English teacher gave us this acronym, and I kind of like it: KISS--- Keep It Simple, Stupid!

 

Mine in my 39 !!!! It was carved while I was in Jamaica.

Hurst T handle for anything built for speed shifting and a 8 Ball for for other shifters.

 

I plan on having one like this cast in aluminum.....or maybe filling this with resin.

 

Nothin' special..made it in my high school shop class (remember those?) It's 50 years old and been on all my hot rods through the years so maybe it is kinda special.

 

I like plain old white knobs, no shift patterns or anything. Just a clean, white ball

 

This mounted in my Model A. I made this back in 1982 in my Metal Shop class in High School. I originally made this for my roadster back then and I am finally putting to use in this car now. This knob has followed me around in a 56 VW oval window, 84 Honda CRV, 60 convertible VW and a 96 Toyota pu and now in its rightful position mounted in my 1928 Model A Roadster.

This knob is solid stainless steel bar stock with a natural stone as the center piece. It's a bit dirty now, but it'll clean back up.

 

That's a really nice-looking piece of equipment.

 

Ok, I'll bite...I've been hoardin' shift knobs for awhile, I like the figural ones.

I made this one a few years back for a HAMB auction... wonder if it ever found it's way somewhere cool...?

 

My favorite is under the knife in Lead Hill, Arkansas as we speak.

Heres an old brewery tap knob I saw on ebay awhile back. I know have the handle and plan on reproducing an insert for my 1947.1 GMC COE Metz Brewing truck.

 

I know it's heavy and it's been done before, but a Shure 55 microphone looks great in a classy custom. 02

I have had one of those glass door knobs on my Plymouth for about 30 yrs now.

 

Here's mine, made it from a peg from the kids bmx bike and a cap from the hand grip from my old Harley

 

Here is one I made fro my truck.

 

Anything that comes out of Lead Hill will be awesome. I can't wait to see it too.

this one is an old glass door knob from a sinclair station. it's goin on the 55 vert.

 

I've got some mannequin hands laying around my house, I plan on using those as a shifter for when I have a half-assed car..
