my buddy has a very solid 56 that, believe it or not, he got 7 years ago for 1200 bux and it drove under it's own power onto the trailer...came with an extra steering wheel, extra hubcaps, some nice rally wheels, and other stuff...to this day he has done nothing to it...it's killin' me!
I just bought this one. It's a 57 with a full Paul Newman Chassis, with complete C-4 corvette suspension and drivetrain. Needs a lot of work though.
LOL, Here's mine in 76. If I had a nickel for everytime its been called a Nomad it wouldn't look like this now... Well,OK,maybe I'd need a nickel from everyone that called it a "Hurst"too...

My Dad's '56.... More pics here: http://www.taylorstreetrods.com/familyfriendscars/1956chevroletnomad.html -Jeremy
Already posted elsewhere, but... Here's the latest pics of my '57, now with lots of paint and chrome! Missing rocker trim has since been installed:
I posted this picture several years ago. It came out of my buddies photo album. It's from the Starbird show in '78 or '79. And this is the same car we think. I had a '56 Safari and was trying to find the car. Best I know it is from the Wichita area.
That is CLEARLY not the same car.............Not even the same color !!!! just kidding.................lol
Personally I like the Safari's better as far as looks go. They are a bit longer over all, but they also have the "sweet heart" dip behind the B piller were as the Nomads do not.
I was just going to post that! I always thought it was strange that Pontiac had a dip that would work perfect with 55-56 Chev Belair trim my favorite's that I've worked on were banned from my camera. they didn't want to be found. a black 56 Nomad and a black 57 Safari both 4 speeds 327 and 421
was sorting pics and found this: it seems to be the same 56 safari...same chop/side chrome. pic says goodguys 08, I think it was texas... or NC. god awful grafix and wheels!
