Perfect! Clean and simple - great work!

  2. I'll take a picture tonight, it's a box that was fabricated by Vern Tardel.

The cover was a tight fit, without really good pic with accurate dimensions, it may be tough to get right. Let me know.

Wow, thanks guys for bringing this back up....

I am working on a firewall right now for this coupe, needed some attention in the feet. I will post pics I guess tomarrow if that interests anyone, ha. Pretty routine metal work and repair.

There are some suprises as far as vintage parts scored in the last month or so... I am so god damn giddy... and it aint even my car!

Been busy with some other projects as parts for this were gathered.

Thanks again guys, I will update soon!

Looks great, lots of nice details here.
I'm working on mine right now, struggling with f1 steering and headers. Your build has given me a couple of clues, thanks.

Found a better firewall, with little to no pitting, just a few extra holes, and some busted feet...

Are the stamped steel repo firewalls that bad or is it just that they are repos?

Nothing but my work on this car will be newer than 1955... just the way it is, ha. It started out with a few repop parts... but as time went on, that all changed. Real genuine Ford parts have character, and soul.... its tough to work on, and make my work and repairs blend in, with blemishes and such that look authentic, but its all in the spirit of a true hotrod I suppose. Real 32 parts are alot more costly in the end, but it just feels that we have come this far, why through a repop anything in the mix.

For my own personal car, I would never be able to afford ALL original parts, much less have the patients to find them, and I would have no problem with a good reproduction part.... hell, thats have my business, building reproduction parts!

Just a couple of questions on the stock K member and boxed rails. How much horsepower/torque do you think that set up could handle? I was thinking of using
    a Y-block ford in my 32 3 window build.
    Thanks Duane

The power wouldnt be an issue, but fit probably would be. A original or reproduction X-member may be a better route...C/E 35-40 or I make a 33/34 reproduction center x member, pictured in frame below

Thanks for the updates. I'll just have to figure out how to make look good tying into the
boxing plates. I like the way you did the 32 you are currently building.

Absolutely amazing... You do some beautiful work...

You mentioned YOU make a 33/4 center X member? Any details on that and pricing?
