Looks nothing like a '32 but a 28-29 is a far better roadster in my opinion anyways. I was the lake racer's choice car back in the 40's. Do it justice my friend, I would jump on that deal ASAP!
Thats a Coupe with the roof cut off ... Not a Roadster ! And them extra tanks are '30~'31 ... So they don't fit. That tank top in the far front appears to have the Filler panel like a '30~'31 Roadster Fire Truck cowl, That a pretty cool piece !!
Its called "EXPERIENCE" You notice thats a '40 Rear end sittin there with it ? Move that rubber seal on the trans so i can see the # on the shift tower & ill tell ya what it is to ! LOLOL
It's actually a '28. And that rear end under the pile looks to be '35 which is desireable. With all the extra goodies there, I'd definately pay a grand for it.
I think that might be a 35 rear. I can't quite tell in the pic but the drums look like 35's to me and THAT would be a great score One year only.
I Think you are Correct, You can just see the end of the '35~'36 Radious rods... '36 would have big 5 pattern, Those do Appear to be '35 drums. Got me on the one, But then its kinda a ****ty pic
well, ok I/m not quit that exprienced yet! but I just glimsped that first pic and new I had to have it, I spotted it right before we sat down for dinner. needless to say I was distracted. it was listed as 23 so I figured maybe it was typed backwords ? anyway I love it, thanks guys for the replies, I will see it in the morning and get some more pics, just need to borrow or rent a trailer now.. i/m not going to be able to sleep tonight....
So what would I do or use for the windshield on this? anyone have some pictures of what it should look like, or could look like (hamb style) thanks
Looks like it was a Sports Coupe to me ( non folding Cloth Top ) This might be a good Thread for you... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=205169&highlight=sports+coupe
When you go to check it out, take a look at the trailer it's sitting on. I'll be the whole kit & kabutle can be bought for a grand. The little trailer will come in handy, or could be resold.
You've got to lay out all the bits and show us! Clearly an old rod/racer, and it will be interesting to see how much we can tell about its past from the remnants. Gotta do the archaeology before the building!
