Friday Art

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by whodaky, Jul 29, 2004.

  1. Yeah, I know, I'm late.... again.

Man, you guys blow me away, just when I think I've seen it all, there's another Friday art show on the H.A.M.B.

Anyhow, I've been working on my paint and pallette stand as per safari nut's advice and having added the clip to hold the magazine pages, I decided the stand needs to have some colour on it. Besides I need to practice some more if I'm to keep up with some of you guys.

    So......

Aus - I can't see the front suspension, so it looks good to me!!! I like that. What color/paint is that on the wheels and motor???

  4. Having gone completely berserk on both sides of the top panel I also did the legs. Man that was a bit tricker than I figured since there's nowhere to rest the handss etc. on a long stick type part only an inch wide.

Since I haven't photographed the legs yet. here's another toolbox that I've also covered on all sides.

Carps, I'm not usually a big fan of those reflection shots, but yours turned out really nice. I like how you kept something of interest throughout the picture.

  12. Yeah, i've built my share of models, this is one of my favourites the Monogram '32 Roadster combined with the mechanical bits from their '48 woodie.

  13. Here's why the woodie didn't need the stock bits.

    Carps,

Is there anything you CAN'T do well?

I never knew this side of you. I used to think you were just another opinionated hot rodder (the best arguer on this site IMO). Then I see this!

My respect for you just jumped up ten more notches...

I have yet to wipe the grid off but I may come up with something to add. It's my second try so here's hoping you like it!

really can't see much from the pic for line consistancy and with the grid you symitry should be ok. Design is in the eye of the beholder. With out a better picture I couldn't tell you much but from what little I can see of it it looks good.

I never travel anywhere without a camera and the other is just car guy stuff.

Apparently it gets worse with age. [IMG]

Aw shucks, I'm really only average at most of the things I atempt, probably coz there's not enough hours in the day to allow me to practice them all as much as I should. [IMG]

Looks pretty good to me. So far I haven't attempted to do something like a face or whatever and I recon it's got to be pretty tough to come up with something that looks right, straight from the mind.
