Well, got my lab results and on a scale of 1 to 4, with 1 being benign (the best), I got a 4.

Pretty rare kind of tumor, so we're going to do radiation and possibly chemo as well to ensure it's all gone. I'm good with this.

I still have good faith, but last day or 2 has been stressful. They don't know what caused it, so I can't really avoid getting another one without prayer and good luck. I'm hoping this is a one time deal.

Just wanted to keep my friends posted. Other than this, we're doing fine.

  2. I wish you the best. As hard as it is please keep a good attitude, look at all your treatment options, and live every day to the fullest.

Just keep your mind elsewhere and don't let it beat you. It is business as usual...........My best to you.

  12. I'm wishing you the best. I usually do not reply to this type of thread.....just say a little prayer and move on. I'm a RN and deal with these type of situations daily sometimes multiple times a day. I try to protect myself from the mental drain but at the same time try to NOT become the cold-hearted nurse....it's a fine line.

As of yesterday I also started taking chemo-drugs for an autoimmune disorder that is attacking many internal organs and know a little about how you feel right now. Very little to be exact....but I do know many thoughts you'd never even considered are now popping up. If you ever need to chat PM me no matter whether it is about AD trucks (had a couple) to medical terms (My background is Emergency Room, Intensive care and Cardiac Intensive care). Not exactly what you might need but I'll do my best to help you out.

Best wishes and thinking of ya,
    Curly

I'm living proof of the power of HAMB prayers. When I had my accident in May, "lowcab" posted up the info here that my wife had posted on a skateboard message board. By the home I got home, there were 5 pages of well wishes. I had a badly broken neck and I WALKED out of the hospital two days after surgery! Hang in there and know that there are a lot of friends that you haven't met that are praying for you..........

My thoughts and prayers are with you. Next Wednesday my oldest son will have his second brain tumor operation at the Cleveland Clinic. He had his first operation there a little over three years ago but they didn't get it all. Best of luck to both.

Just lost a friend to colon cancer. He fought it for a couple years. He really didn't die of colon cancer though, his liver died from all the chemo. The doctors refer to any cancer related death as the one that started it all, so he didn't die of liver failure, he died of colon cancer. Not that it matters to us, as we just lost a friend, but it looks good to their insurance bean counters..

I wish you the very best treatment and response.
