I think the one posted by HEMI32 is the car that Mounger has , my post is the current Roadster that Mike has .......
Holy Cow!! I don't know who in hot rodding doesn't have dreams about going to look at a project car for sale for $1,000 and open the garage door only to see this pile sitting there. .....This may not be a bad vote for a pic in the HAMB calendar
sodas38 ... actually you weren't too far off with your $1K estimate ... I have a receipt dated 5/5/73 that states my father paid $1,500.00 for that "pile" As for the HAMB calendar ... Nope ... the composition is all wrong ... and there's a damn tree "growing" out of the roadster body!
I just spoke to Mike Russell , he confirmed that the car he bought from HEMI32 (less rolling chassis /engine & trans in the 90's) is the car that he sold Glen Mounger . He states that Mounger put ARDUN heads on the engine, Kinmont brakes and an Auburn dash in it. So the car is still around........Z.D.
Well my new rod looks a bit like some of these other ones but I had to throw it in here. Big switch from my old truck! I am loving the roadster lifestyle already...
HEMI32 : I agree with sodas38 : Hamb calendar material .. I`ve used that pic as screensaver for over a week .. Thanx for posting That damn tree was easy to section Klaz
Damn ... you weren't supposed to notice that "non-trad" piece ... yes, it's a Jaguar IFS. For pics of the full Jag suspension (hey, cut me some slack ... it was the 70's! ), see my '32 Roadster album (just click HERE).
This one was my uncles up till a few months ago.He ended up selling it to an east coast HAMBer and doesn't remember his user name.Does anyone know who bought it?
35 years of photos ... just different shots of the same 32 roadster Photo/ 2008 The reason only one tail light is on ... is because the turn signal was blinking I had my 32 roadster out today ( Febuary 1, 2009 ) in the 65 degree weather. ( photo taken in 2007 ) L.A. Roadsters show 2007 photo by Don Dillard ... My roadster at the 1973 NSRA Street Rod Nationals ...
Here is a update on mine without the cardboard and duct tape... But, the real parts are WAY more expensive
Quit showing those fender cars !!! Your giving me "crazy" ideas. Im digging all the different was to do them. Very nice cars, everyone.
Hey Dave, looks like you're making some good progress. Here's a couple of shots of what it looked like several years ago. Now drive that sucker!!
