I don't have any good pics of the painted engine yet (still removing the masking and plastic etc). In the middle of painting. I have not painted the valve covers yet. I will post some pics later when it is more interesting: http://www.pangalacticconsortium.com/cars/PlymouthGallery/imgpages/image167.html Link to all pics: http://www.pangalacticconsortium.com/cars/PlymouthGallery/index.html
Nice scores, I haven't been to that yard for awhile. Yeah I definately get warm twice, lol. later shawn
Went to a great open house/BBQ at Richie Valles body shop in Burbank Saturday. A dinner cruise spot that night with some XLNT Italian food in Saugus. Sunday, a beautiful day at Long Beach Swap Meet followed by more, even better Italian food at Mom's that night (Lasagna w/sausage and meatballs). Oh, what I get done? Not a ****ing thing
We went to the Hazelton yard. It's a shame they have all the older stuff stacked on top of each other outside the electric fence. later shawn
I went to my very first Pistons and Paint. I have been wanting to go to this show since the very first one, but never was able to make it up. Man what a great show and just all around great weekend.
Couple of fellers went in on a shop and we ended up cleaning it out and planning it's direction on Saturday. Shop is going to be rad!!!! I also helped a friend pick up a Running 8BA Flathead for $100 from the junkyard. Worked in between all of that from home to try to s****e up some extra money needed for a Kitchen Rebuild. Pretty solid weekend all in all.
I tried backin' into this tree a couple of times, to knock the rest of the leaves off!!!!!! No really I gave the garage a good douche.....looks good for a little while!!!
Looks like a lot of people made good progress, bigolds i love your car man!! I went to the dragstrip and ran the 37 a few times on the whitewalls before i strap on the slicks and uncap the pipes this weekend. Got a best of 13.5 at 100 mph but theres room for improvement and traction.
Saturday my wife & son went over to her mother's, so I had 4 hours to work on my '66 Datsun (not very HAMB). Somehow it took that whole time to wire the tail lights and one headlight; then, I was out of the right colors of wire. Sunday I spent some time planning the Nash Metropolitan (borderline HAMB?) I'm going to build for my wife. Since I don't have the car, or any money, I'm building it all on the computer in 3D; it's better than watching TV. Jesse.
Scoured the Lake Compounce swap meet in CT for bel air parts, got sick of looking at chinese tools and 1/18 scale car models...why are those vendors allowed in? Found a decent heater core
It's been a nice weekend in the land of vikings. Did some welding on the A-coupe,sold an old motorcycle to get more money for parts, had a long ride on my -51 Harley-Davidson and spent lot of time working outdoor on my -45 GMC army truck. -I got specially excited when I managed to get the .50 cal.machinegun-mount moving.
Pulled the radiator out so I could install the new fan and pulley I ordered (old one was destroyed in the accident and the one on the parts car was cracked). The pulley was the wrong one, but the fan fit, so whatever. Got wheels back on the parts car, should be ready to roll it into the driveway soon (need to get vin numbers, doors ,etc. off of it). Got the carb reinstalled and found a hole in my fuel filter that is spraying gasoline on the exhaust manifold (this was my own damned fault), so I haven't cranked it up for very long to tune the carb. It runs much better though. Trying to get her back into running condition so I can throw her in a body shop. I just don't have the time that I thought I would have. John
