I am looking at buying a 63 Chevy II Nova wagon with a 327 and Powerglide (I have a TH350 to drop into it if I get it). It runs and drives, just needs some dents fixed, very tiny rust spots, primed and painted (geeze I make it sound simple).
Anyways I was wondering if any of you guys have any pictures of some nice wagons? I have gone to the Nova sites looked around at some nice looking ones but I am not into the 18 or 20 inch wheels, late model interior, etc. The interior is all original in this car and in great shape. It's dark green which I dont care for but the seats and headliner are like new with no rips, wear or tear. The exterior is sanded down but was the original green. I plan to paint it gloss black with either the 14 inch rally wheels and caps that are on it now or steelies with caps and whitewalls. Only reason for the color choice is because I have the primer and paint already in black.
    Thanks for any pictures!

Thanks, I am actually a member there and those are the ones I am talking about. There are some nice ones there but nothing close to what I am wanting to do with mine. I thought maybe some on here may have one.

Very nice, thanks man! Do you do detailing? I think I've seen that trailor or the name "All About Details" on a detailing forum. I am actually buying this car to do my detailing out of and pulling a small 6 or 8 foot open trailor.
Looks great. I know the blue one from Stevesnovasite.com
How did you lower yours and what brakes do you run?

I had a '67 Chevy II wagon once. I loved that little car.

I cut two coils in the front & added 3" blocks in the rear. It bottomed out occasionally but if you were careful it was fine. I drove it daily for about two years.

Wish I had it back. Last I heard it was in Sweden.

Thanks a lot guys. They all look great. No the last one doesn't suit me so please done ever post it again! Haha just kidding, I like it! I never have the time or money to put into body work and paint on my vehicles even though I do that kind of work. I spend all my money on the mechanical stuff and when I'm done I'm too broke to make them look nice.
How do your stock brakes work? Everyone with these wagons seem to change them right away and say they pull too much and dont work well. I know for sure the first thing that is going in the single MC and I will go with a dual MC for safety. I love the stance of the first one though. I actually even have 4 airbags from a hacked S10 of mine I am parting out, an air tank, gauges and compressor. I would put airbags on it but since I will use it for work (if I buy it) then that means adding something else that can give problems which takes away from the reliability.

My stock brakes (fronts recently rebuilt) work excellent actually; from excessive speeds (100+?) they aren't that great but hey, they're 4 wheel drums... you can't expect too much. But yeah, i've been really satisfied with them. i think a lot of people are scared of the stock suspension on these things so they just go the subframe route. i just rebuilt mine instead and it works fine; even bought an upgraded swaybar so it handles decent too.

Thanks for the information. I did see lots upgrading and doing a subframe kit from CPP but I dont see why I would need it.

Thanks for the info guys! Keep the pictures comming. I haven't decided on a color yet. Does anyone here know how to photoshop? I'd like to see one in gloss black with black steelies, beauty rings and moon caps with wide whites. I tried finding one but not luck.

seen this thread and had to reply! the brakes are fine, however i did upgrade to a dual mc for drag racing. back when pops used to race, we ran 11.70's on stock nova suspension works great until you start wheely'in em then they flex. the 63 ss daily driver car we had stock everything car drove great, stopped great that car had the most touchy breaks ive ever seen in a 4 wheel drum car with non PB. you could litertally tap the pedal and RARCH you were stopped! heres a pic of mine yes not hamb friendly, and the wagon im going to pick up friday,. also dont let anybody tell you the 8.2 ****s while it might be small we ran 11.70's for 3 years straight, off and on the juice plus , that rearend had about 15 years of drag racing on it, and that rearend is still going stong in a nova around town! when my dad tubbed  :( the yellow one OUCH! he switched to a 12 bolt, but that oll 10 would of been just fine:

Yes I am wondering the same thing. If so then how is it comming along? Mine is still sitting there, I haven't touched it. I stripped the hood and front fenders down and the nose of the car is GONE. I either need new fenders and hood or try to fix what I have. Looks like new fender and hood is what I need. If this is the case then the car will sit a year or more because I just dont have over $1000 for two front fenders and a hood when I can use that money in my 66 F100 and get a LOT more done on that and closer to being finished.

Looks great! Redlands huh? I was born there. The hills in the background look familiar kind of like devore or cajon p*** or something...
Great looking car. My new plan on the wagon is to go with a green that is on new VW P***ats. It's a metallic green that is similar to the original but a little lighter and the color will not be crazy or modern, it will still have that 60's feel that I am going for. Finally got my wheels done and found the last beauty ring for it. For now I am running my 14" steelies with beauty rings and caps until I can afford to get 16" steelies and caps.
The wagon is on the back burner for a few months but I slowly gathered all the parts I needed for it such as disc brakes, power brake setup, drop spindles and drop blocks for the back, new doors, new fenders, floor patches, etc etc.

yup - i just realized we've talked before. The pics were taken in Grand Terrace, out by Pigeon P***. The hills look awesome right now; I've never seen them so green. I have to get out there to take some new pics.

I'm 65Nova4door on SNS and the one selling the Longroof Society shirts and stickers. I also pm'd you about hubcaps.

What caps are you going to run?

To tell you the truth I have to double check the caps because they came with the car when I bought it and were in perfect shape so I took them off and put them away. They are similar to truck rally caps I believe, maybe even stock ones I do not know.
As for those hubcaps you PM'd me about I will be going through some caps in about 2 weeks and will look specifically for Chevy II's since I have a huge request for them. I am waiting to sell the Corvette wheels and some 57 Ford Fairlane 500 caps at the moment. I am only selling a few sets at a time or else I get confused trying to sell and ship a million caps out at once. :)
