oddrod, your 53 is looking good with paint on it. and I think the choice of hubcaps you are talking about will be just right.

Just got this one,a '51 Coronet Coupe. Got it for $300 two weeks ago. Tentative plans are to lower it a few inches, swap in a v8,different wheels, and then eventually paint it.

I have a new 36 Plymouth project. It was sort of drivable when I got it but I am tearing it down a bit this winter in hopes that I will have it the way I want it by April:

It is mostly there, just missing some trim pieces and emblems, a lot of the stuff that appears to be missing in the pics was found in the trunk. Unfortunately the interior is garbage, but that's easy enough to remedy, once I get to that point.

  11. Thanks...been working off and on on this thing for almost 8 years...different cars come along and this one gets pushed to the side but finally have stayed on track and hope to have it rollin' under it's own power by the end of next month and a new interior in the spring (if the economy every picks up...otherwise I might have to sell it or something else)

Going to go look at a '40 coupe with a co-worker Sunday. Hope it's a good one, he's a Mopar nut. I'll take some pics of it.

  19. I've had my eye on a 1917 Dodge roadster body for about 40 years now. I think I'm beginning to wear the owner down...........It will have a 340 Dodge small block with an appropriate tranny when I manage to get it. It will be after I finish my 52 Chevy pickup.

Anyone have a good site to figure out what this 54 is that we have? It has a vehicle number on the fire wall, and a body number inside the door but I cant find either one of them online. I am thinking it is a plymouth plaza but not sure.

Bad71, by being a member of the HAMB, of course you know you will have to provide a thread of the rebuild with plenty of progression pictures so we can ogle, drool and criticize at will.

    Make it so!
(Plus, I have a '50 Coronet 2dr hardtop and I wanna see photos, besides, everyone enjoys a good project thread)

Can anyone help me take a engine and body number or tell me a good site to find number info out on a 1954 Plymouth?

Sorry, forgot I already wrote this up above, that means it is time to end the night lol

  27. Try going to Google and looking up the Hotrodders Knowledge Base. They have a lot of tech stuff posted and links that may help.

Hey LSTWSH, Did your Ply Coupe come from South Jersey? There was a twin to that, color/pinstriping runnin Cragar SS wheel around here in the early 90 to mid 90's and it disappeared after that... Used to see it cruisin the Webers Rootbeer stand.(They still have girls on rollerskates serving). Cool place...:D
