I agree it has to be on the list of the ugliest Mercs ever. The funny
thing it was designed after a Tom Taylor drawing in Rod and Custom magazine.
Needless to say the Merc didn't turn out as kool as the concept drawing.
A good friend of mine built the car and every modification that he did I kept
telling him no don't do that. That just added fuel to the fire and he continued
    to cut it up.

Years after the build was complete and he had sold it to a customer of his my
friend passed away and I was thankful that I had the opportunity to buy it. I
bought it right and I thought even though it was ugly I thought over time I would
be able to get it into something that would be respectable. Fifteen year later and
with the help of Ralph Schindel, I beleive we reached our goal.

Thanks for the kind words. I think? ha,ha,ha,ha.....

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

38 Tudor done, pre-digital camera days so pics not so good. Drove home a perfectly good stocker September 1990. Took til April 91 to get it "modernized".

(continued) After the last rod run of 91, went into the body shop for some shiny blue paint. Couldn't have done it without a LOT of help!

Here are some pics of my latest project. It's a 52 Ford F2 that my grandfather bought used in 1962. He died in 1973 and left it to me. Drove it with the flathead until 1977 and then put a 283 Chevy in it. Drove it that way until 1990. Sat behing my garage 'til 2007 when my son and i decided to "resurrect" it. Using a 36 Chevy Master frame with an 8' channel. 56 Chrysler hemi with the pushbutton Torqueflite trans. Plans also include a 4" chop. These are before and in the middle of the project pics. :D

My 23 year project! If I had known how much work was involved I would have bought a better car to begin with.
    Peace,
    Chaz
