Those are some great pictures, thank you. Looks like too much fun. Who owns that badass black 32 hi-boy truck with red wheels, and radius rods.

  9. Nice pics.....thanks

  10. I am not sure what it is. Someone else will fill us in it was chilling by the Old Crow Bellytanker for awhile by itself. Looked completely handbuilt/formed, rearengined? and aluminum. Nice work.

No one was around everyone was watching the passes being made on the lake before it got shut-down there was only the lady filming and she had no idea of the owners or stories. Anyone out there know?

Thanks for posting pictures! It was a great day out there, although heading up in the morning the wind on the 15fwy was horrible. It took a lot of work to keep my car going straight - downright stressful at times. Hit a few heavy gusts on the way home but that was nothing in comparisson. Anyways, I can shed some light on the group of hotrods in the pics:

'27 on '32 rails with "A" shell is mine from La Verne/West Covina (Pasadena Roadster Club car)
'29 yellow roadster belongs to Richard Loe from La Canada (also a Pasadena Roadster Club car)
'27 with aluminum hood and skirts belongs to Larry Mitchell from Crestline
'32 red roadster belongs to Lance Miller from Yucaipa
'32 black pickup (actually a '33 cab on '32 frame belongs to a cool guy named Mike but can't recall last name or location
'34 coupe with '37 truck grill belongs to Ed Dwyer from Hollywood
'34 coupe with whitewalls belongs to Chris Wickersham from Pasadena (also a Pasadena Roadster Club member but left the roadster at home today)
'29 green modified belongs to Fred Rowe from *I believe* Crestline

Just a great group of friends and cars getting together for breakfast and a day on the lakebed.

The woman in the small red outfit is making some kind of independant film (there's at least a couple threads about it on here already) and shows up at nearly every event that attracts traditional cars where she shoots footage of and around them. Watching her "work" was interesting to say the least...

  28. I asked her camera woman if this was that independent film from around Saugus(the title escapes me even though I have watched the videos) and she said "no" I just said ok well still cool your capturing it for everyone anyway. Thanks Dennis for posting the info on the group of cars down by the staging lanes we all appreciate it.-Weeks

Taking a quick look at that Ardun,, makes me wonder if it is for the V8 60. Looks slightly smaller than I would think a 85 would look.
Glad to see it was a SDRC car as that was my club back in the 40's.

Looks like the cars are reverting to the older days as there seems to be less spit and shine and the cars look like they are used a lot.
