Judging by your personalized plates, I would say nothing but whitewalls and black steelies are going to look right. :D Like my car... the whitewalls and steelies with the stance make the car. You don't have to get rid of those wheels. Just put them back in the barn. :D

Does that glass have a blue tint to it?

NICE Deuce. I can't wait to see it de-street rodded a bit.

Yea, the windshield does open already, and the frame on the inside is chrome. But I agree, alittle more chrome here and there, but not too much and take away from the car from being what it is. I'm his son, so we've been "discussing" this issue for a while now. But I do agree with ya.

Thanks for taking the time with the pictures Django. I've been saying if he goes white wall, black steelies, bullet lugs and centers would compliment the car the most.

I love it the way it is. what's wrong with being a street rod?

  10. Nothing really wrong with being a street rod. My taste in styles of cars has changed over the past 10 years whereas I like the hot rod look over the street rod look.

I bought the car the way you see it almost 10 years ago from a very good friend of mine. I drove it for 5 years. El Tiki and other cars got in the way and I let it set for the next five.

'32 Fords to me are boring cars anyway. My wife will not let me sell it so I might as well change it to suite my taste. The time has come to replace the very tired 327/350 combo with rebuilt units. The tires while in great shape tread wise are very old and need replaced as well as the rubber brake lines, belts hoses etc. I will be replacing the gas tank with a new one too.

The engine compartment has had zero attention since the car was built in 1978. So it will be going thru an enormous makeover during the powerplant swap.

I like the idea of maybe some black steelies with spyder caps trim rings and whitewalls. Add to that some rubber running boards, 25 louver hood sides, chrome windshield frame, door handles, spreader bars, headlight bar and maybe change the color of the grille.

On the inside the car already has a decent two-tone light gray dark gray roll and pleat interior. Going to install an Impala wheel, cut down those damn awful looking Vega highback buckets, Chrome plate the dash and window frames and ditch the speedo for an old 3 3/8" SW vacumm gage and the inside should be good to go.

I vote for...put on the tires of your choice and then drive the wheels off of it. Car looks Badass.

  12. Yup, can't wait to see it out on the road. :) Keep us posted.

You know John, looking at those pictures you're just one cigar away from being a Don Anderson clone there... ;):p:D
