Hard to follow that 49, so I won't even try! :D Here's a few pictures of my current dog poop. Bought it to save it from the crusher, it was REAL rusty, car basically folded in half when the doors were opened haha.

Nice shop:D:eek: Seems like it would be real tough working outside in this weather though. You are to be commended on your work ethic kid. kudos to ya.

I saw your other post on resurrecting that other one too.

  18. Maybe while we have each other's attention we can help each other out with parts referrals.

Here is what I need, and the second list is what I've come across:

    I need:
-1955 Desoto grill, needs to be very nice (no other years please)
-Ideas for 51-55 year side mirrors, mine are probably some nightprowler clip-on
-online source for large roll of window weather stripping
    -online source for skirt rubbers

    I have:
-49? 50? rear bumper guard, did not fit my '51 rear bumper
    -4 15" moon discs clip-on from nightprowler
-I'll probably part with my current grill if i can secure the desoto one

    I am aware of:
-49 moredoor getting parted out 2 hours South of Chicago
-Guy pm'd me info on 51 rear bumper in MN, good for rechrome straight piece
-Guy told me on other board about '51 rear quarters in MI, might be very nice

Out of curiousity, there was a dude in CA selling what he said was a factory continental kit for $700, did it ever sell and does anyone know what that looks like on a 51?

I'm kinda curious because no one else with a Merc Truck has attempted. Do I qualify with my 51 Merc Truck? If not, I'll gladly pull my post from the thread...

    Here's my submission:

  25. #1 Thanks guys for posting your pic's
#2 Posting parts you have or need is okay, but don't put stuff you have for sale on here. Not fair to guys who have stuff in the classifieds,AND I don't want any trouble from the BOSS!

  26. It's about time I got to see more of your car, besides your avatar! What a nice motor! Love the details...
