348/409's are some of the coolest looking engines ever made. That's what it's all about!

I have to say YES! Go for it. Just be aware that it's pretty spendy to rebuild these engines. Here's a link for some pics and all the info you can handle on these engines. (I'm Bungy on this site also)

GO FOR IT ... had one in my 32 coupe !!

  10. We also have a W motor group here on the HAMB.

As for rebuild they are not too bad. My gaskets and bearings were about double an SBC but what are they 1.98?;) I think I had machine work, heads and all the parts and came in around 2000 total including initial price of engine and a tripower intake plus powdercoating. Not bad.

Go for it! Parts are available from alot of vendors including places like Advance Auto.Tri power intakes are sort of cheap so it is easy to dress them up

And always remember, all 348s are really 409s just like all small blocks are Corvette motors and all-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l-l 283s are really 327s, and all 307s/262s/305s are really 350s.

Dont post your address, and chain the engine to the car. Some devious folk may want to steal it :)

The engine not the A bone
