Man, that's a cool ocean-liner! Like the tags too. And cool windshield. Very nice find.

Is that black or a very dark blue? Looks blue maybe but should clean up and buff out pretty nicely either way.

I love those. Doesn't matter if it's a 4 door. Huson was right on with their styling.

Tell us about the hunt and negotiations. It was an old granny wasn't it?

it was ownd by my wifes cousin, its not been out the garage for 7 or 8 years,he left for aussie but came back and never used it again,he didnt realy want to sell it but knew he wouldnt be bothered to do the work on it,he wants to enlarge his house so the garage has to go,it needs work on all the doors but the flattie fired right up with some new fuel and a battery,,it was restored years ago and sat in a jaguar showroom for ages,i used to go and look at it when i was 17/18,,it needs a new wiper motor and a wash,,

So it was sold brand new in England? What about the RHD, is it a chain type conversion, or were all the components purpose built?
It is a cool car, the history makes it cooler.
I remember Tony Coe's Consul Capri it was in a Ford dealership up in Nelson, I used to go stare at it when i was 15-16 years old.

You know, with a wet sand, that'll probably shine right up! Maybe a coat of clear...

Damn, that thing'll take up 1 1/2 lanes of your average British road:eek:.

Great that it finally came to a deserving home where it will be revived to cruise another day. Well done Bob - persistence pays off.

  20. Great score...that thing will scare the **** outta your average morris minor or mini cooper...rhd too!

It appears to be solid. Is it a 6 or 8?

Great find Robert, that's irony isn't it. I found an Anglia in USA, and you found a Hudson it UK. Those old Hudson Hornets tore up the race tracks in the '50's. You'll be stylish in that, need to get some curb feelers for it till you get used to the width tho.
