Not sure I buy the whole story. It has been sitting somewhere, there's too much crust in the ****pit and on the front wheels. The tires are really suspect. I dig it, noatter what the deal is!

simple. cause its in the way. outside is huge with plenty of room, and at the time it was a "old chunk of **** i need to cut up for s****"

its been mentioned here already, but people who cherish stuff like this aint exactly growin on trees. even enzo ferarri. "why would a person want an old ferarri, when a newer BETTER one is available?"

I'm not saying it could NEVER happen, I know a guy that bought an Eddie Hill built dragster from behind a farmers barn. But that was thirty years ago and it didn't have an engine in it. Now that I think about it, that's the car that my Magnesium TorqueThrusts came off of.
Not many drag racers are gonna leave primo speed parts (injectors, etc.) on a car that they basically abandon.
And it's kinda weird that the injectors have covers on the trailer and not on the ground. Plus the helmet......and the conveniently placed Autometer tach........and the everchanging carb scoops.........and the pictures in the other threads and............

Any chance this rail was stolen? Perhaps dumped in the weeds but the the trailer / tools kept or sold later? Just wondering if there are some missing cars out there that look like this one. Hope not. Gary

  16. Right! I just found this in the weeds behind my house. Forgot I had it! :)

That was the first thing that came to mind when everyone started getting their ******* in a bind. Who in the hell would've thought that was true?

Who cares if the guy made the story up, it's still an interesting car none the less.

oh... i know! BUBBLE DRAGSTER. the previous owner set it inside this huge bubble to keep mother nature out. as for the nice intake setup on the ground. i think it jump the fence just to see what all the comotion was about. now go catch that intake and sell it to me...

Sorry, but the weeds DO look recently bent flat to me. I also wonder why the guy would have built a purpose specific trailer for it with fresh paint on it THEN threw the dragster in the weeds. Seems if you are going to go through all that trouble to build a trailer and show the car you're not going to then throw it in the weeds for ANY reason.

    Its bull$h!t

The slicks are clearly ON TOP of the gr***. If it had been parked for some time, they be sunken a bit and grown around...flat too. They look like they have armor all on them.

Whats the point in staging this?

I'm with you FF. I have been giving this the benefit of the doubt, but we need some defense and proof. I will go with innocent until proven guilty, but I'm wavering.

Hey Luke - yeah I'm watching!!!!! You know what they say.....if it sounds too good to be true it probably is.......smells a bit like fish to me:confused:

The car IS WAY COOL though - and I'm sure it was "discovered" somewhere - not sure why it'd need any embelishing.

I'm gonna go back behind the garage and see what I can find....I'll be sure to post pics......stay tuned!

UPDATE: Luke, I know this is gonna be hard to believe, but WHOLLY **** look what I just found in the weeds out back.......dreams DO come true!!

I gotta go and see what else is back there!! I've been looking for a Mag 6:71 - who knows maybe my streak will continue!!
