Fired the engine for the first time tonight. Tomorrow, we'll see if the th350 that's been sitting dormant behind the engine for about 8 years will transmit power to the rear end and let me go for a loud and bouncy ride around the backyard.
Thats a cool ride, good thing your where its warm, gonna need snow tires up hear for to long. Good luck with the trans
That's great Big Mike!! I'm so glad to hear that. Guess the starter and battery worked, huh? Keep at it brother. Lil' Mike

That first ride around the yard............ I now do my work in short spurts, don't get it to where it'll be undriveable for more that 2, 3 days. Enjoy!
I was blown away earlier tonight when BIG called me and said, "listen,....then he cranked it up I'm very happy for you brother, we are gonna have so much fun driving our HotRods around. Congratulations!
SWEET!!! Kinda makes the 12-year wait all worth it now, eh?! So...you're driving it up for Autorama now, right?!
Good for you Mike. what kind of tire clearence do you have when turning with your over the frame headers? thanks.
Not a lot, I may have to put a leaf or two back into the front spring, the front pushbar "tusks" are only about a beer can off the ground right now so it could go up a little. I had to switch to 5.60-15s (from 6.70's) to get the 1/8" of clearance at full left lock. I'll just be careful until I get more of it together and see how things go. A more experience builder would have planned better and set the engine back 2 more inches, I used a bolt-in wishbone splitting kit so it determined where the engine went... about 11 years ago
Wow, America has its first black president AND Domke's car runs, the flying pigs can't be far behind. Congrats.
