I like to be alone in the garage, working on the old stuff, and listening to whatever takes me back or gets me going. I have XM Radio, and I'm always listening to the '50's Station, Willies place, and Cross Country. Well, they dropped Cross Country after they merged with Sirus... Kind of pissed. At work here in Indy, I work on cars all day (1950's to mostly 1960's) and I just listen to the local Country station. Seems like its the only shit on our radio here that is simple, makes sense and something I can relate to. Just my .02.
Whatever is on the stereo in the shop. Weekdays after work, it's talk radio. Nights, it's the local classic rock station. Weekends, during football season, it's on the Sooner game or the NASCAR race, but otherwise, it's classic rock. I've got an old Sansui AM/FM receiver that I bought new in 1981, plus a pair of old Kenwood bookshelf speakers, that put out more than enough noise for the shop.

The sounds of my tools at work. I never need more entertainment than that. I also almost never listen to a car radio.
i can relate to tinnitis ..good ole ring never really goes away...unless all buzzed up it might...sometimes...........i listen to older rock, cds i burn off lime wire, sometimes is weird from david alllen cole to dillion....the song "COCKY" BY KID ROCK was my favorite "cruse-in past the gold chainers in my blown primered vega wagon...talk about no respect......dangerfeild got more respect then my in my primered wagon........but then again, "it ain't braggin if ya back it up"................
Usually I'm listening to Rancid or Lars Fredrickson and the Bastards...Punk rock helps with my productivity and keeps the neighbors at bay

I made a couple of cd's that have Oldies,Rock,Country,Jazz and basicly what I like. The thing thats cool about them is that I only put songs on them that I never get tired of hearing.I can go out there right now and fire up the sounds and love every song I hear over and over again.
The new 'Super Suckers" CD,"get it together" If I was rich I would give every Hamb'r a copy.But I ain't so I won't. www.supersuckers.com
Man...From blues to doo wop to rock-a-billy...from metal to classic rock to classic outlaw country...Been jamming to Nebula n FuManchu n C.O.C. Live a lot lately. I listen to it all, just depends the mood. No rap or pop though. Also the sounds off beers opening and food grillin... I got a nice old Marantz stereo set-up in garage.....lovely sound...
I love the Super Suckers. I listen to 99.9 KISW (Seattle station, modern/classic rock) because the CD player broke, or I would be listening to 90's SoCal Epitaph/Vagrant label Punk
