Got to be the wildest COE ever........

  2. Here's a T that's just a little different than the hauler above. The photos were taken at the NSRA Western Nationals in Del Mar, CA in the mid 70's. Damn if I can remember the owners name, and I can't read the sign on the side with my one good eye.
100% hand crafted from front to rear.
    ADDED THANKSGIVING DAY:
The 4th photo just popped up on the new Denver Greybeard Car Show thread. Not the same truck from 30+ years ago, just another wild early styled COE possibly inspired by the Dave Williams truck.

If my memory serves me right, that truck was also on the ISCA circuit. I remember seeing it in Seattle in the mid 70's.

  4. Isn't that Dave Williams' (of Lowbuck Tools fame) hand-built C-Cab?

A 4x4 Military COE that is for sale locally. I always thought they would look goofy so high off the ground but it actually worked out well. I think the sleeper on back helps it not look too tall.

These could be better pictures but it's all I can get now with the crummy weather. The stake pockets and running boards are roughed in. And Moparron, I appreciate what you are saying about the Mopar drive line, but, I don't have them available to me for the right price.

Get a bit farther with the project. Made running board brackets yesterday after a trip in for a Biopsy for my wife. The rolled pan is being made as well as a another piece of running board material so I can replace the short lower boards on the cab.

Here are some update pictures of my project. Running boards and the rear rolled pan. I would like some suggestions for tail lights for this beast!
    Thanks,

Kooscoe! That truck is so bad****! I love it. The stance is just killer and I love that you made it a flatbed instead of using a pickup bed. Very Nice. I must draw a picture of that someday soon.

In keeping with the cleanliness of the rear, I'd be curious to see something like 4 frenched 4" round lenses, but down in the curve of the rollpan, pointing not rearward but down at a -say- 45 degree angle. Setting them in the curve may only allow a slice of the actual lense to be seen, primarily it would be the glow in the 'can' and on the road (better use halogens...). Two lamps to the outer edges, 2 paired in the center.

Maybe some 1970 Baracuda(round) or Dodge Challenger tail light lens(rectangular) would look good(keeping the Mopar theme).
