Here's my 62 custom cab, except there isn't much custom about it yet. had the 223 machined and i'm assembling it now. it's real clean. po maintained the heck out of it before he died and it sat for several years, and it blew a head gasket two weeks after buying it (stuck heat riser valve in exhaust manifold). i got an edmunds dual carb intake for the 223, and i'm going to make it a mild custom daily driver. It was a daily driver for 2 weeks until it got hot.

    Stumpjumper,

Cool that you kept the 223.
Once the truck is done, I believe it will also qualify for mention in the "So who has a STRAIGHT Six in their hot rod" thread (hint, hint ;))

    Right on, man. :)

It does a great job of hauling my scooters and other shit around when needed...

Thanks for the history. I love how you kep it in the period fomoco family with the econoline grill. I just scored a split front bumper from an edsel at the junkyard on saturday. I'm plannin on using it for a back bumper on my 62 step side. It has a lot of wrap around on the side like the original step side bumper.

The ONLY stock, mundane type American vehicle I would LOVE to own is a late 60's "bumpside" shortbed. Brown paint, white wheels, stock dogdish caps and just use it as a pickup....
    Whutta concept!
