Glad to hear everything went as planned Ryan....enjoy your time off with the family And to everyone, have a Happy Thanksgiving from us Canucks up North! On a side note, it seems like we have a large contingent of health care professionals on the HAMB, thats great to see
Fellas... those of you with back problems... I can't stress enough how important it is to go to a doctor. Skip the acupuncture, skip the loon chiropractors, and go see an honest-to-goodness DOCTOR. It will change your life. When all of this went down, I consulted my father (a doctor) first. We both knew I was going to have to get cut open (which is unbelievably scary), so we wanted to find the best damned doctor we could. He called all of his buddies and used every bit of research he could. You can imagine my amazement when it all pointed to Dr. Dan. Not only was he in Austin, but he was a HAMBer and a really good pal of mine. I couldn't believe it... It's hard to think of your pals that way - you know? Anyway, the surgery was a cake. The most painful part was the IV. The second I woke up, I felt 100% better than I did before the surgery. I literally woke up smiling. My pal Joyo came down and spent two hours keeping me company... that meant a lot... and Dr. Dan emails and texts me pretty regularly just to check up on me. This whole experience has just been amazing. God, I love my pals...
Great to hear you are finally better!! Happy Thanksgiving, hug Marcie and the kids and say howdy to your pops from the Knight family.
So glad your surgery went so well and had better than expected results. Also glad you can throw all those pills away and live a normal life. So Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours and to your 50,000 kids here on the HAMB because without you we wouldn't be here as one big family. I'm giving thanks this year because Sue (Mrs. O'Brien Truckers) just had both of her carotid arteries cleaned out before she had a serious stroke. So we'll second Ryan's admonition - if it feels bad it probably is bad and it's not going to get better by ignoring it or turning up the radio - go see a doctor! Happy Thanksgiving, Dennis & Sue
hey ryan thanks for all you do on this site its appreciated ten fold.take it easy,or any way you can get it
Glad to hear the "official" good news, Ryan! If anyone deserved a turnaround, it was you. Thanks for ALL you do here on the HAMB, and I personally thank you for that little corner. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to someday meeting you at one of the many events you attend. Happy Thanksgiving to All!
What a great read. Nicely done and I'm happy to hear you're on the mend. All the best to you and your family this Thanksgiving. And thanks for all you do for the rest of us. Mike
Glad to hear you're done with that! Thanks for the H.A.M.B., I really enjoy it, as do many others, I'm sure. Happy Thanksgiving!
Glad to hear the surgery worked for you, Ryan! I enjoy your writing and the H.A.M.B.; communities like this one are among many I'm thankful for.
this guys surgery sucked. Thank God for modern medicine. Thank you for Jalopy Journal , your efforts.
Hmmm, not sure which post I love more. This one about "The Boss" getting better or the one about "race cars in action". God I do love that one, but hey...it will always be here. Ryan getting better is just super
Glad to hear it worked out so well. It's great when good things happen for good guys. I really appreciate your vision and the good work you do to make it happen. Not only is the HAMB full of fantastic and focused content, its navigation and graphics are second to none. You set the standard for other sites and they just can't catch up.
Man, first Jeff N. is getting fixed and now you? We can't have that, you're needed. Glad you're doing well. Thanks so much for the H.A.M.B. Now enjoy your turkey. Happy Thanksgiving all.
Well we have something extra to be thankful for this year. I wish you and Mrs. O'Brien a speedy recovery. Thanks for letting us hang out here.
Does this mean there will be no more late night delusional blogs born out of the painkillers you took? Man, I'll miss that... No really, Glad you're feeling better, now get back to work. r
Good to see you're up and running on all 8. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family...and the family of HAMB, or is it turkeys....
Thanks for sharing...glad you are doing well...my buddy, went in ten days ago and his leg kept going numb...had the procedure and says he feels ten years younger (only 38)and the funny thing is he put if off for about 6 months as he was freaked out about going under the knife and now he's mad at himself for delaying it for so long...Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for the HAMB!
