The wife and I are down here in Daytona for the Turkey Run and I just wanted to share some of the pics I shot over at the Bel Air Plaza tonight. We've met some great people and got to hang out with some old friends already. Also shot the shit with Skratch and Barry Grant for a few.

    Hope you like the pics...

Awesome pictures! I can't wait to see more. I guess I gotta get me a new camera! Thanks for posting.

    Which one's a '42??

  8. There isn't a '42 there...take it from an Old Fart that has been on the planet since Sept. 1942.

Big Olds is running, driving and stopping perfectly now in Dayon, Oh. Scott will drive me down there on Saturday morning to pick him up and I drive him to TN. Will fly home from there on Monday.

I talked to Brett, GreenMtBoy, on the phone a few minutes ago. They were going to eat dinner then head over to check out the cars at the track and the plaza. He was in short sleeves and enjoying the weather. Lucky stiff.

  19. We just went by Bel Air Plaza awhile ago. The place was packed. On the way here about 20 miles from Daytona we blew a tire on the trailer. What an ordeal that was. Had to use the bumper jack from the '56 to jack the trailer up. Tomorrow I guess I'll try to find a Discount tire to get a new one. Just got here in time to get registered and cleaned the old gal up a little. There wasn't but about 3 cars in the HAMB space. Should be more tomorrow. I'll be there early in the morning. See ya there.

  21. The red 57 Ford with the canted headlights and tucked under front fenders is an old custom that was once blue. I saw it up at Moscuffian's shop in Ma about twenty years ago in need of a complete restoration. I believe there was a video going around a few years ago featuring this car for sale at some dealership. It has quite some history if you can take those tucked in front fenders.

We also had a breakdown yesterday. My voltage regulator went out and caused the battery to overcharge and fry. Fortunately it quit right in our hotel parking lot. A quick ride from a bud to the parts store had us going again in short order.

I had to take a break for a few.

I didn't want to carry my tripod in to the resteraunt so these are a smidge fuzzy.

Why I prefer the tripod and a slow shutter speed over a flash.

A bunch of real nice cars. Loved the white wagon and a few others. The overhead shots are cool.

I will refrain from saying what I would like to regarding the huge torq thrust dubs and the "real" flames...

Sorry you didn't make it Denise. Looks like the weather is fine down there!
