****** hell that's not John Garners old trike is it? He had it forever wanting to build it then sold it. Keebies[spelling] shoebox looks good.
Yes thats Billys (ex gold) 1954 repainted a fekkin awesome rootbeer flake.... And its not Johns trike.....we all thought it was, but he looked it over and said it was the same kit, but not the one he had.
I thought the same thing about the trike!! I found that thing for him about 9 or 10 years ago in a wrecker storage lot!!! It's the only one that i have ever seen in person!! Need to call him and see!! I have'nt seen or talked to John for a while now.
The trike was floating around Conroe for awhile. I knew two differant guys that owned it. One tryed fixing it but didn't do it justice. I think John is down on his luck a little right now. Last I heard he had blown the 455 up in his wagon. The Korsairs should know
He sold his wagon recently, and still has projects coming out of his ears.... give him a call. He had a main bearing problem. Sold it and the guy who bought it has rebuilt the engine and thrown some new wheels on it. It was in one of the movies at the Autorama at a vendors booth. Looks different with big billet wheels.
Looks like a lotta neat stuff. It looked like they had the cars jammed pretty close together. The wild intrastructure took up all the floor space I guess. Thanks for showing the event to the rest of us.~Sololobo~
Its actually PPG ruby slipper, but it looks like a lighter shade of rootbeer candy depending on the angle and the lighting. We all though he was nuts for painting it from the flat gold, but you have to see it in person to appreciate it. They also shaved up the hood and trunk really nice its a shame no one picked it for a trophy at the show because it probably was one of the nicer shiny cars there
.......oh yea my pics are uploading now i will post some in a few hours when its finished I wound up with 366 pics
Hell ya sweet pics, as much as I was ready for it to be over I miss it now! We had a bad*** time the cars and clubs in Houston are really stepp'in up thier game and forcing the rest of us to keep up. Thanks to The Hellions for picking my ride, Me and my family really appreciate it.
post #16, richard d , that is a fantastic 1937 hudson terraplane waterfall grill. and the front axle looks to be 37 tplane vintage, great pics. thanks. dermott.
Those two trucks were a couple of nice builds, obviously by the same shop, as they had matching Z's. They put the ugly truck to shame?
Hey man you deserved it just hit me up when you want to collect on your free photoshoot that went along with the trophy
