This car belongs to my good friend Logan. Logan is not a Hamber, in fact I do not think he as ever been on a computer. This car started off as a pile of pannles, and after 7 long years, it's finally coming together. He painted it last weekend, this is before it is cut/buffed. He has more self-grown talent than I could ever wish for!

Nice ride. Hows yours coming along Chris?

  7. i like it... simple... clean... and no overwhelming paint or wild colors... for some odd reason i really love the nearly almost all covered roof.

based on the first few pics the headlights seem oddly out of place... but overall it's not just another coupe... and it's a '28-9 so so it earns an extra gold star on the big sticker chart from this guy.

  10. Very nice indeed. There,s an original unrestored leather back coupe not far from my place. Guy wanted 10.000 euro last time.

The attention to detail and quality of workmanship are impressive. Post some more pics once he gets it all back together.

A really nice, well proportioned channeled car.

I like his style and they way he recessed the firewall and channeled it.

Dig the headlights low man, looks more race inspired, and also really like a high carb set up...

The car is tooo nice...not fair.

I hate recessed firewalls with a passion but he did one helluva job on that one. Very nice car with well thought out details.

Logan's car is killer! I have often talked with the other guys on the HAMB who have Special Coupes about what one would look like if you chopped it. You just don't see many leatherback coupes, rodded or restored (at least ones that haven't been converted to look like regular coupes) and this is the first chop that kept the original full leather top. Thanks for posting.

And Chris, can you explain your abject and miserable failure in persuading Logan to join the HAMB????

Bitchin, different, and it makes me wish I had not sold my '28 Special Coupe.:(

Well, like I said, he has never owned a computer, cell phone or any other moderen devise. I have show the Hamb to him, but he just does not understand.

Here are some more pics of his car. Remember, he started this build 7 years ago...remember what the "big thing" was back then- rusty crusty rat rods, especialy one with no computer, only magazines as a peek to what others are building.
Logan is a true craftsman, he reminds me of Zach Suhr in that he is young, self tought and just plain talented with an eye for detail!

Chris, how much is it chopped? You don't see too many chopped 29s. Mine is a special as well, but I am converting it to a standard. A point of interest, I had a 30 coupe beside my 29 coupe and a 30 has a lower roof from the factory...a factory chop done by H. Ford.
