Sturgis would be my idea of hell.between the meth dealing scumbag outlaw types and the Rich Urban Biker types i've always felt detached from the scene, most of my friends have english, german, japanese,or italian bikes.i haven't had my sportster on the road for about 5 years now, just waiting for the idiots to go away or die.always thought bobbing a Crocker was kinda pointless, considering how stripped down they were from the factory.my dad had a ULH bought new in 1940.i remember him telling me the 61" knuckleheads were faster than the 74" that came out later, and the only thing that would outrun them was a Crocker.-george

  3. See you this afternoon Cole, I didnt realize you were set-up so close to my house. I will get ya'all over here for a BBQ at least once.

Yorg, the rally is a lot different than most people think. The gangs keep a pretty low profile anymore. Sturgis is considered Neutral Ground. The Bandidos have thier camp a mile from my shop and most stay there for the duration. Last year I did see some Probees in Sturgis, I think it was a dare type deal before they got their true colors. Lots of Mid-America folks just here to unwind.......to the tune of 500,000 of em.

A "good luck Cole" or "have fun Cole" would have sufficed.

  6. Think what you will. The Crocker that Decker bobbed is one of the cleanest, most inspirational bikes I've ever seen.

    Have a good one Cole.

Have a great time!! I used to live nearby and have taken in many. It is worth it just to walk main and look at bikes. The Buffalo Chip gets pretty wild when the sun goes down. Years ago it was city park and I was there the last year they had it open to camping. Everyone that came in had to do a burn out,and speaking of burn out I think I might have stood toe to toe with Hunter Thompson's shark hunting trip that night. Some one got pissed and blew up the shit houses with dynamite because they never got cleaned.

Time and place for biz. Cole. What is the next project that you are going to be taking on for yourself minus the clients rides?. I like the low key-end results from the rides that you have put together in the past and present. Your 'ol blue Harley is so clean and simple with the thought that you had put into it..... awesome but suttle ride. Hats off to you. I myself am putting together somewhat of a different ride. I have a '53 Plymouth Suburban that I am low-keying but I have the finnished look on paper thanks to a good artist friend of mine. I will send you a couple of pics to your shop via e-mail. Enjoy Sturgis. KNUX

  10. I talked w/ Cole for a while the other day about his "next big project." All I can say is: Moonshine drinking followed shortly there after by mass T-shirt sales [IMG]

[/ QUOTE ] i thought some folks would enjoy a historical perspective, even second-hand.my father lived in L.A. before WWII and owned an Indian Scout before he bought his ULH.he also raced on the dry lakes (in a partnership with three other guys,i don't know which of them drove) in a chevy 4 banger which he told me got up to 106 MPH.i would have said "bobbing a crocker is an oxymoron" but a lot of people here have trouble with words of more than two syllables.

  12. Just rolled back into town, dropped Cole and his girl off at their posh penthouse suite. Cole met the dude with the wall of Death, a pal of Deckers and insulted him in the same sentance. I think Cole called his manhood into question or something like that? Might have been my comment of the Mtn bikers pedaling theor bikes on one in England that set the dude off [IMG] All I know is that there were 300 hot barmaids and Cole kept looking at the Musclebuilding Midget on the bar. I wanted to break into the CC trailor and steal the Blue Bobber. Cole was jonesin' for a ride. The weekend should be fun, several HAMBers are heading this way for fun and frolic. Harvester, Cole misses ya, sends hugs and kisses.

Oh yeah, I think we saw Germ hanging out with some chopper builder? [IMG] Pussy wouldnt come drink with us.

  13. Oh yeah, Cole is in love with me. We are leaving our women to be groupies following Radiohead. He wants to customize my 54 on the road like modern day Kerouacs! [IMG] You will find our Chopping the top tour 2004 in a stadium parking lot near you.

I used to work with an old Bandito who turned me onto my fitst bike, That was after Don Tilley went down for racketeering and the club was "officially" disbanded. When I left S.Dak. in 85 their was a shitload of guys riding prospect for them so I am not sure what happened to the club after that. About the same time the Son's of Silence were ruining every fun bash in the hills like the Red Water Revival at Beulah Wyoming. I grew up around the area and we never had a bit of trouble with the bug clubs like the H A. I never messed with 1%ers much but I did party hearty with some of the Gypsey Jokers at Sturgis once.
OOPS, sorry for the rant, All this brought back some old memories and got some neurons firing that had been dormant for years.

  17. Willowbilly, glad to hear your insight! Are you going to the HAMB Drags? Love to BS about this in detail with you. When was the last time you were in Sturgis? Kinda strange from what I remember as a kid.

The last rally I attended was the 49th but I got a great cup of coffee off Mike at Pony Espresso in Sturgis a couple weeks ago. My mom and 3 sisters all Live in Belle Fourche. The guy who started the Buffalo Chip and still runs it is married to my brother in laws ex.
I plan to get back up there in Sept-Oct. I've got a 68 crewcab Ford bought from Saterlee I need to pick up and some major tin scrounging planned down around Wall. We should get together. No plans for the drags this year, trying to get the rpu together and the crewcab project so I can get rid of the late model/payment book.

  19. I know the crewcab, look me up, I am at A&A Restoration.

Your not right across the road from Carl are you?
I bought that truck for the rustfree cab, I have another better one and will make one good one from the two and maybe take all the leftover parts and make some kind of camo or primered badass 4x4. The good crewcab will be a 390 with 3 speed/overdrive, p.s., p.b., a/c and hopefully a king ranch type interior if I can find one. That is going to be my main driver and my long haul pickup.

  21. No, that Dickhead Dan.

  22. Just got back from the Exhibit. McQueens Bobber is there, Chica has a killer Bob. Decker and Cole are MIA, hope they didnt go find that midget and elope with him [IMG]

Keep in mind, Cole's days don't start till 1-2pm at the earliest...of course, they don't end until 10-11am, either! And don't try to wake him early, unless you wanna get reaction-punched in the nose!

He and Jason Jessee have Midget-fobia, but maybe Susan talked him into something?!

And Susan could talk me into anything.

  27. how nice. a billion boozed up titties and my handsome prince is still thinking of me. please relay this important info to Arthur Coleman Foster, the shop is in preparation for the "Final BloodBath" me and German broke in next door and gave the Norweigan some Salinas Stay Awake for our annual Sinners' Sleepover. Fuck, Cole wants almost as much for the blue bike as Jason wants for his panhead peice entitled JesusChariotsofFireScout-Daddy's-not-a-Pud. Please tell him the lathe and the mill are now in my garage and the white airforce has taken shape. cole has no concept of time as we know it, decker is a new nomad sinner brother, i gave my beltbuckle to jobe, together they have no need for sturgis, the trip was just to get Susan out of the shop while we prep it for all of you dumb saps' ultimate suicide realization. she needs to be reminded that the world is a terrible place, plastic and oozing with salene agenda and botox beurocracy. SalinasGirlz baby tee's will be available this fall for all the cherrygirlkittens. the red satin hotpants are being dawned for the emporers new clothes... but we still spent all night huffing her hamper panties and darby germ O.D'ed on hip hugger musk. stay another week if you need too loverboy, decker has to know the truth before he feels the glory.

  28. I'm not sure what the hell is in the water in Salinas.........

  29. Got a camera full of pics, will post em tomorrow eve.
