I have stacks of'em and I'll often grab 10 or so and just page through them every now and then when I have a little quiet time after dinner. Lots of great tech and killer cars from the old days.

Can't remember if I posted this already but it's worth a repeat.

That car looks a little like this one, also a So-Cal car, seen in a 1963 magazine:

  7. How true!! I graduated from high scool in '66, and NO self respecting rodder would run around with rust all over their car! Paint was too cheap, and you could do it in your own garage, or your driveway for that matter!
I had friends that shot their cars with rattle cans rather than leave them unfinished. The Earl Shieb in our neighborhood was THE place to go on Saturday to see who was getting painted.

  12. Yep, my dad and his partners ran in the same circles as Eric. Jones and Christensen may have even done the rear wheel wells as they
did many Tri-5's out of their shop, Car Care (I believe) in Burbank. They also did alot of the body work on Richard Ruth built cars including the TLB/Graffitti '55. Our car used to see some chassis dyno time at Rex Carsons where Eric later worked and became a carb/distributor guru. He also built headers at Cyclone for awhile I believe.
