There are many free IGES viewers out there. This one doesn't suck:

So, FYI - he's only a free viewer away.

we cut and made the clubcab body with an extra pair of doors that Ray had laying around and then he found a S10 chassis and mounted the cab and frontend to it, the chassis is pretty much a stock S10. he made a custom bed for it and dropped in a 350/350 combo. he has had it on the road for about 7 years now. it rides and handels great. Ron...

it's in red oxide primer now and I think that is how he likes it and it will probably stay that way. Ron...

<HR style="COLOR: #e5e5e5; BACKGROUND-COLOR: #e5e5e5" SIZE=1> <!-- / icon and title -->I haven't seen anything out there where anyone is using a ZR2 frame under a 47-53 Chevy pu. All i've read online says it won't work. So here's a few pics of my project. It's a 2000 ZR2 that was rolled, it has 19000 miles on it. I had about 2 hours to decide if this was my donor or not - I bought it at an auction. So I had not intended to use a 4x4 but i'm starting to like it. It's sitting on 4 inch wood blocks while I try to figure out my mounts and radiator. I may be able to drop it an inch or two but that depends on the radiator right now.

If you look at the 37 chevy that I posted above that truck has 15x7" wheels on it and they work out to just about the same as a mustang II frontend and I know that the mustang II frontend fits perfect in a 30's mopar, I have done quite a few..
do you have the original frame for your car????

and a Dakota frame will work if you use inboarded wheels,
this car below is on a dakota chassis :D Ron...

I'm guessing this would be an easy swap. I would rate it a 1.

A friend of mine has a '41 Plymouth on a S-10 chassis, I'm not sure what kind of wheels are on it, but the track was pretty much stock looking.

I also recall seeing a late 30's Mopar Coupe on a S-10 frame on ebay that looked pretty good too.

Wider and back spaced wheels are alot easier to come by, and when it came down to it, I'd rather have a wider wheel on a narrower track than have them stick out the sides like those 90's style ricers.

Haywood, nice job on the frame,I'm interested how your going to do rear.Any pics yet?
I have same prob with my kickup.

thirty7,,,I have to agree with you on fabbing the rear.
On my 37 w/s10 the rear frame kickup is way too high. Not sure if I'm going to rework it or not. Inside the box will probably look "real ugly" with that kickup.....alredy have cab positioned and bolted. Shoulda planned it better.

And thus, this is the nature of the beast: a Devil I know. :(

I wonder if someone started offering custom back-ends for S-10 chassis like his if people would start crawling out of the woodwork to buy 'em?

I honestly don't know at this point. I plan on getting the cab and front sheetmetal mounted first. Then set the bed on the frame, move it around til it looks right and then see what's what.
Like thirty7slammed mentioned.... as long as I have room for a cooler and a couple of chairs.... i'm good to go!

    Here's the latest:

After I made a couple of slices to the front rail, I slid the tubing inside the stock rails and using a BFH "contoured" the rail to fit snug against the tubing...... so snug in fact that I couldn't pull them back apart! Oh shit!!!!
I ground what I could get to and started welding. What this means is i'm a little embarassed to show how bad the welds look with all the trash..... but it ain't goin' no where!!!

On to the back! I pie-cut the rear rail starting at 1 1/2" and tapered down to 1/2' ending in a factory hole. Then sliced the rail top to bottom so the rail would fold down onto the tubing. I cut it wider than I meant to, so i had to put a piece of scrap behind the rail and fill in my mess. I pulled everything together, clamped it tight and started welding.

    before:

    After: (crappy phone pic)

So now I have plenty of room for the cab to sit low.... like we likes 'em!!!:D

I'll have to wait til Christmas shutdown to do the otherside.

That's one solution... but it would take a couple of hotties to share those brews with to push me over the "tickled shitless" wall there, man. :D
