well im 15 and im workin on my first ride its a 55 chevy pu 3100 2nd series and the vent on the lower pas. kick panel was rusted all the way through and i thought we would never be able to remake a new door for it. well this just go to show you hard work and a whole lot of thinking does pay off in the end. it took me a week to make first pic is when i cut the vent out. then the vent one the stool. the next one is the one i made with out the door in it. then im holding it in hole to make sure it fits. then a couple of my piece with the door i made for it. i made it and having it pivit off of a singal rod and made the bracket on the back. i also made the grille for the cover the old one was rusted out and dont have the money to buy a new one. a couple of pics of that. and thats it took me a week and alot of blood sweat and tears. thanks guys

So, what did you find in the chamber that caused the rust through, leaves, rags, dead rodents, pine needles, someones stash? The air intake in front of the windshield let all kinds of crud in and sometimes plugged up the drain; same deal with the 55-57 p***enger cars. 55-59 Chevrolets, cool old trucks.
