well i see that the thread i started on this project got shut down,so i'll have to put the updated pictures on a new thread.i knew that the first thread would stir up trouble, and it shure did,but the up coming threads will be about progress.

    i promise.

here is what we have been working on since we spoke last.

The frame is starting to come together. It looks really good, and the welds are magnificent.

    An other pretty one!

How does the transmission crossmember come apart? How hard is it to take apart on a finished car?

In short, by hot rod pro's own admission the first thread about this car was about creating drama from the start.

"Pot stirring" is silly. But we like the craftsmanship so, let's just stick to that aspect and it's all good.

Very nice! Lot of neat ideas incorporated in your build with some innovative engineering, and the level of detail and quality is outstanding!

Hey H.R.P. .... Looks great ..... I can almost smell , the old shop through the picts ...

( The old shop... when you walked in the door smelt like lacquer thinner , cutting oil and welding g***es and a hint of WD-40)
    ..... yum, yum,...:D:D

glad all of you like the ch***is,and thanks for the kudos on the welds.

    to answer some questions:

the thread was closed down because of the drama.like i said,i expected the good and bads, but it did get a little harsh.

the drop out crossmember is not too bad to get out if you leave room for an allen wrench.

would you like pictures of the jig posted on this thread or on a new thread?

I think "Doomed From The Start" is a good name for that car. Kind of like "Will Cause Dangerous".

Show us a lot of pics of your hairpin jig right here. I need to make one soon myself for some rears. Can you show us pics of your rear hairpin jig too?

    I changed the ***le.

This is your thread. Is it going to be about progress or drama?
