This car was parked on the "side of the road " section of this car show. It was hard to get street side pic, curb-side was always busy with googlers wantn' to see it...

an "early east coast style modified" for the street. This car (or one very much like it) was in a paper magazine, Hot-Rod maybe in their dare to be differnt section

I think the taillights on that modified Buick are 48-49 Buick. That is a radical machine, it's cool!! Love the Plymouth front end on the pickup, had a 61 2-dr post I wish I would have kept. They come-they go!!~Sololobo~

That truck is the coolest thing I have seen in a long time. Any more pics of it? Profile shots? I really dig that cab style and I never even thought about different fenders on it.....

Looks like it could be something out of the early Predator movie, (the Chevy) the one with Jessie Ventura.

  14. It isn't really innovative but it is double dare to be different. Someone built this thing back in the early 80's combining a '39 Chevy Panel with a 72 Chevy cab. It really drew lots of attention, ran very good but sucked gas.

I was gonna get more info when I was there but got sidetracked, go figure...
There were a whole bunch of folks from the outfit that built that Buick but I'll be dipped if I can remember their name... The name starts with and "S" maybe...they had black t-ee shirts with yellow logo...argh...!
Somebody from Paso/SLO or that-a-way might recognize it.

I did this quick Photoshop when the car was first posted some time ago... I just needed to see how it would look with a hood on it.
I love it... but I think it needs some sort of windshield pillars

here is a side view photoshop a guy did for me on the photoshop thread.
It is chopped in the photoshop, which is what I have been working on this winter.
I do like the original 61 ply. grille, but I wanted more of the 60's show feel, so the drawer pulls will stay, but I am going to redesign them so that they float better, and si in a little farther.
    a quick list:
    chopped 3.5
sectioned 6.5(1.25 top body line, and 4.25 at the rocker)
59 chev rear bumper on the front,60 chev wagon bumper on the rear
    62 buick taillights
    84 chev wagon frame sbc&2004r.
