That's the ones! I love 'em! The cup and band give it great support and vibration control and the cup has a guide that helps keep the entire mount centered on your frame bracket.

Here's the difference between the speedway and C.E. biscuits. The Speedway one's are not nearly as hard.

    Makes sense!

Universal mounts and an adapter plate, and other than a check for firewall clearance, I'm on my way! :D

Right on man!! Keep us posted in this thread!! Also, make sure you post pics of the mounts. Once I can edit the HEMI Tech Index again (missing the EDIT ****on), I want to add a catagory related to mounting Hemis. Your thread will get filed under that subject catagory so people can get ideas for their projects.:cool:

LOL! Wish I could see that thread before I proceed! Sometimes it ****s being a pioneer... :D

If not a Camaro T5 with an S-10 tailshaft, what transmission do you think would be better? I mean, I'm only running a 180HP stocker here. I have the original '50 Ford truck 4-speed (floor shift)...

The stocker is an easy adapt it should be the late flathead pattern, but it is a non syncro truck ****** i'm only thinking about running it myself because it'd be cheap, Easy and i want a stick and really need to get my F-3 out from under the tarp it's been under for 6 years

with good rear ratio's how about a wide ratio muncie or mopar 4 spd? really they made adapers for anything, and there is PLENTY of space back there another option would be ford toploader with a jeep top like some of the flathead guys go, then even shifter is simple

also Newer F-series rears Bolt in or atleast on the bigger P/U's

BTW dont ya love how it's fenderwell to fenderwell motor on this swap, like it was made for it

    According to: http://www.sweptline.com/tech/engine4.html

    MOUNTING THE ENGINE
The early Hemi Engine is easy to mount in that it has the same mounting bosses as the Wideblock or Polysphere 318 engine, which was installed in these trucks until the `67 model year. Simply obtain a set of Pre-`78 truck motor mounts for a Polysphere 318 engine or the LA-318 and bolt them onto the appropriate side mounting bosses on the Hemi. For rubber insulators, look to the Slant-Six or Polysphere 318--these will fit the ch***is and motor mounts properly. Engine location in the compartment is much like that of the Polysphere 318, since the dimensions are quite similiar. It should just drop right in.

Personally, this seems like a pretty reasonable plan right here.

Probably wouldn't be a good application, but my Father was telling me the other day that he ran a '47 Dodge truck transmission behind his long bell and it bolted right up. The downside was the gears were terrible for a street car. But, that's just an FYI bit for giggles.

Yeah, this is for sure a street-driven truck, with lots of highway use. I've got a Dana 60 picked out that'll bolt in off of a '68 F250 with 3.73 gears in it, so that part's all figured out. I really want a manual transmission... and 5 gears really do sound great, but I'm not picky as long as the final ratio is already or can be changed to some sort of overdrive-type ratio.

    What about this: http://www.moderndriveline.com/Technical_Bits/t5_history.htm

    The "Z" Spec T-5
In 1993 Ford started offering a new service unit to the motorsport crowd. The "Z" spec T-5 (Ford part number 7003Z, also sometimes referred to as "World Cl*** T-5". Most folks, ***ociate the term "World Cl***" as meaning the best, however world cl*** T-5 were introduced in 1985 as stated ealier. The T-5z is a 1993 Cobra T-5 with 2.95 first gear set and .63 over drive. It has the best of everything. Hardened gears, short throw factory shifter, steel front bearing retainer, and tapered output shaft bearing ands a seven tooth speedometer gear. Best of all it has a torque rating of 330ft/lbs based on 100,000 mile usage. The stock T-5Z can handle up to 450 hp when not drag raced.

    Aftermarket Super Heavy Duty T-5's
Now that after market companies offer new and improved ge****ts, T-5's can now handle up to 600hp and are used in drag racing on a regular basis. The advantage of this setup is the small platform which will spin up faster than a heavier TREMEC or Richmond transmission.

Granted, I'm poor, and very much into finding a good used one and pulling it myself rather than buying new, and the appeal of an S-10 tailshaft making the shifter pop up in the right spot is really doing it for me.

Interesting. Not seen those before. Sounds pretty good to me. Might be something that other people would be interested in as well.

How were the prices? I didn't look that close.
