    Why?

Them damned fenders didn't flow with anything on the original car, either. :D

Scanned this out of an early '60s PHR. I thought it was an A but it's a Chevy.

Several years ago, there was another bare metal roadster that looked very similar, but I believe started out as a '51 Chevy and had a Jaguar I6 engine. Also used a Buick hood for a boattail deck, had a similar windshield, similar stance, also run hoodless.

    Same guy(s)? Anybody know?

    Fun thread.

A lot of cars walk the fine line between FUGLY and DIFFERENT. Seems to me that it has to do with the owner/builder. If the guy is building it to fit in...its FUGLYY. If it's built for personal enjoyment despite what others think... it's DIFFERENT.

    More pix.

the transition shouldn't be too hard, I put red dots where I will splice in the chev truck fender and part of the hood.
This will be the next project after I finish up the chop.

  19. Most of whats on this car makes me say "wow", and not in a good way...but I do like the side window openings....like an extended truck cab with no b pillar. interesting.

    That could work.

What are you gonna do with the rear wheel openings?

Yup, you're right. I saw your post after I wrote mine. I remember Chucky's showing up at Paso for years, each time with some other stuff changed, but never in primer. Guess he finally graduated.

Too bad the engine sticks up so high^
    A hood might look goofy.

  29. The Humpmoblie is sharp I dig it!

I hate thunderbird with the cross over 50 ford look. grrrrr. They look so out of proportion. Did he work on the hood and fender area more by the headlights, they seem to slope more then I usually see on those conversions.
