Can't get away with much on nantucket. It's a small island. And everyone must know your truck.

  5. Pay the sales tax or sell it to a blood relative in Nude Hampster, have them register it then GIVE it back to you. There's no sales tax on a gift from a relative and the Nude Hampster registration, signed over to you, is good for obtaining a Mass title.

I sold my '40 sedan delivery, that I bought in '76, to my kid brother. He registered it in Nude Hampster and, a couple of years before he died, he signed the registration over to me. After he died, I finally got around to obtaining a Mass title.

Total expenditure on my part - fifty dollars.

I looked everywhere for a "proper" category to place this without success. You do need to be able to drive here, so I'm putting it here. I'm in Southeastern Mass and recently purchased a portable 5 gas exhaust analyzer. If you want to fine tune your hot rod, send me an email and we'll work out the details.

This is not an old emissions station part, it's a very expensive SnapOn calibration tool! I would love to have one of the in floor dyno stations the state forced everyone to buy, then forced them to remove, but I have no where to put it.

NO. You bought yours in the 70s after the sales tax went in. If you bought it in the 50s then you don't owe sales tax. You need an notarized affidavit swearing to when you bought it (From whom if you know) and how much. If you have a bill of sale from then you are golden, but that would be rare. You need the vin inspection form (I think it's downloadable from the RMV website) signed by a local cop. You also have to fill out a RMV-1.

Gorgeous car MickeyD....Used to live in Taunton..ever bring it to the Sam's Club show on Sundays? Not a bad little show if you can get past the civics with lambo doors and the escalades. :)

Thanks. I've had the car there a couple of time this year. I was late this year getting the car out. Next year I hope to go to more shows. A few years back they only allowed rods, customs, muscle cars, and occasionally
a few bikes at that show. I guess things are changing. Not my style of car, but to each their own.

Yup It's an early Ford 302 pushing 300 hp. It origanally had a 56' Flattie . I kick myself for swapping it out. Hindsight! This car has been around HAMB for awhile. Bought it from the Dirtyestdevil. Prior owner was Daddyo. It was built by Ian Loska from Cal..

I get it now! I'm a little slow. Either it's old age or brain damage from the 60's. I'll go with the brain damage.:)

I'm happy to host this along with my Open House in (prolly) Early April or just have a HAMB meet and greet on its own.

Either way- if you all want to pursue it- Ill be happy to help. Someone just needs to say so.... :D

Id even be up to adding in a swap meet type thing- you know- bring one , take one away- no $$$ exchanged for stuff....
