That sign says it all! Fantastic

My highpoint of the week, Friday Art Show on HAMB. I am amazed at the bad ass work on here. I have no artistic talent, but my vision this week was framing a piece of antique glass to hang over my garage entrance.

  8. Man, the talent on here just keeps getting better! I could never name everyone, but you ALL rock! It's the time of year I get on my knees  and ask for some help from the artistic fellowship here on the HAMB......
The 2nd annual Winter Wipeout Swap Meet will be held on March 7 in Monte Vista, CO. It'll be indoors, heated, with 100 vendor spaces. (10'X10' $15/ea or 2/$25) There will be live music all day, an Outlaw Pinewood Derby Challenge (no rules!), and last year we had over 3,000 people thru the door.(with 65 booths)There's an auction at noon with art, parts, tools, sightseeing plane trips (great for spotting old tin), a lot of other cool stuff. All proceeds go to FAST FRIENDS, the charity I started that helps out the families of terminally-ill, really sick and badly injured kids in the San Luis Valley of Colorado. The website is at http://www.slvfastfriends.org and there are a lot of pictures of the HAMB'ers Art donated last year. If you would care to donate anything , or would like to tell your friends and any artists you might know about our cause, I'd personally appreciate it very much. There will be plenty of advance advertising, both in print, and on my weekly radio show about auction items and the people who donate them. This'll be a good chance to meet new people, have some fun, and even sell/buy some cool stuff!:D I'd be delighted and honored to have anything you might want to donate, no matter what size or value. Anything we get helps us fulfill our mission. Thanks in advance for any assistance. And for those of you who helped us last year.....You're the best!:D

  9. O.K., I thought that I might contribute some work today. Here are some really, really old drawings of mine, all pencil on lined notebook paper:

A rear engine dragster, "the Italian Wedge", probably drawn in 1969. Looks like I was intending on it being powered by a blown Ferrari Flat 12 Boxer engine!

"Elegant Shopper" a Flat 6 Corvair powered grocery shopping cart with M & H slicks and a Moon tank!

Circa 1969. I grew up in suburban Washington, D.C., Fairfax County. I thought that the county police needed something cooler! Officer Cox was the community laison at the time. Note the wheelie bar ladder to get into the back panel doors.

I scratched this drawing out, so I suppose I thought that a blown Hemi hooked up to a Toronado transfer case, was a bit much for a go cart!

Fuel injected with zoomies stage coach.

    Chopper Stingray type tricycle.

A couple of drag racing cars.

    Funny car sports car.

What was that movie with Tony Curtis, The Great Race? Anyways, I have always loved his car, so here was my version of it, circa 1969.

O.K., onto some newer renderings, 1981. All renderings are art markers, pastels, and colored pencil on 18 x 24 inch vellum. Not quite traditional hot rods, but old cars.

    nice work everybody!!

finally i have something to post! this was my project for this term, looking at the trucking industry for the year 2025

  15. Very cool stuff guys.

This one isnt quite finished yet, but not too far off. I figure pretty much everything I do is unfinished, so I'll post it anyhow.
An F1 design I am working on for school. Car sketched in pencil, rendering completely painted in photoshop on my trusty lil wacom. Maybe I'll post the finished piece next week.

  16. Another amazing piece Ed!
I love how you let that right front wheel run off the 'page'; shifts the whole focal point of the composition exactly to the spot dead center. Glad this one didn't have too much chrome; didnt catch myself looking for my own reflection in your drawing this time ;)

HOLY SHIZZLE... YOU PEOPLE ARE SICK!
I've been signing books all day and totally forgot to get on here.
If the last 6 pages don't inspire you... YOU'RE PROBABLY DEAD!
Every page made me feel like I need to hang up my drawing hands and go work at McDonalds!

Sonny, Zombie, Metalhotrodgirl, Sinclair... you 4 kids definitely need therapy!!! hahaha Awesome work.

By the way... 31hotrodsedan man, I really like those MACK concept pieces... those trucks look Bad Ass!

Here are a couple of fun little pieces I knocked out...

I'm working on a series of smaller paintings that all have to do with LOVE... from a slightly twisted point of view... of course. They all have glass bottles in them... love potions, sleeping pills, whiskey, etc... you know... all the things you need to deal with love! hahaha
    [IMG]

The center piece is cut out of 1/2 ply and mounted about 3/4 inch off the skateboard
to really make it look more 3D.
