Really cool little run. The first weekend in January, a large group of folks from mostly the Houston area all cruise to Bryan/College Station(about 1 1/2 hours NW) and hang out at a little local burger joint for most of the day. Always a great turn out. Here are a few pics from a few years ago. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=87067
We went last year as spectators. Great time. Maybe 500 cars. All types and years. Since last years run, we've got the '32 and will be taking it this year.
Here's a link to some pictures from this years run. http://www.conroecruisers.com/Gallery/Lucky's Rod Run 2008 600x450/Gallery/index.html
Would like to make it if weather holds out.If anybody from down or around south of Houston would consider a caravan up that way let me know....Post here or pm me
What time is everyone planning on rolling out or showing up? We are leaving out of houston sometime that day
The run actually starts in Conroe at the kroegers parking lot on 105. Everyone shows up at about 8:00 then drives to Bryan. Alot of people go directlly to The Chicken ranch so they can get a seat to eat.
Thanks for the info we are looking forward to it. I need to leave a hour early so I get there at the same time everyone else does lol
Cold windy day, got there about 11:30, just as Reggie & Norm were leaving, headed back to Round Rock and Jonestown. As Norm said, what you start out the year doing is what you will do the rest of the year. So I guess I will be driving the '34 rest of the year. A lot of people had been and gone by the time I got there, met 8 cars headed west on SH 21 on my way over, probably headed back to Austin.
missed you guys today, only saw the family when you were driving off. Your truck looks as good as always.
slept til 12:30 and decided to skip it. sorry we missed out. we did hit the dark horse tavern which was pretty cool. next year possibly...
I ended up skipping out as well :-( Didn't want to take the chance of getting rained on. Did it rain at all down there? And did anyone take pics???
