Does anybody have any experience with these? I just got off the phone with them and its about $800 bucks for a COMPLETE kit. Its cool because it even includes a new master, the proper valves and new brake lines, calipers, rotors, etc. I like that its all new parts nothing remanufactured. But its not cheap. What do you guys think? It would be for the 51 Chevy. And it will work with my dropped uprights.
I bought one of their hanging brake pedal kits and I am very happy with it but don't know about their disk brake kits. For what it's worth they were very helpful when I ordered my pedals.
I have an ECI set up and I like it very much. I called and talked to them about what I wanted to do, spindle wise and wheel wise and they were informative and helpful. Basically I have disc brakes on '39 spindles with '40 16" steelies... BYC
I'm using their rear disc brake set up, using Seville brakes on my 9 inch rear end and I'm very impressed with the engineering.
I've installed around 30 of these kits. 7 of them were on my personal cars. You get great quality with the ECI and they check and comfirm with you so that there are no issues with the application. It is excellent that they come with all new parts and you don't have to make any runs to the local parts house for 'tidbits'. The homework has been done for you. And well worth the money. Mott
That's pretty much how I feel. I have one of their kits on my 61 Chevy. It's been on the car about 18 years. The fit and quality is top notch.
I put that set up in my 49. I couldn't be happier with it. Here's the link to a tech I did on tips I learned along the way in the install. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=179331
I put a kit on my 49 F-1 truck. Everything fit perfectly. It was easy to do and works great. I have disc front, drum rear, no power booster. Don
I installed one of their "Big Brake" kits on my '35 sedan. Works perfectly, I didn't have to change or re-engineer anything.....when they say it fits & bolts right on...it does.
