People always bag on the "Glam" bands from the 80's. If everyone had a taste of it like I did (even though it was a small taste in the big picture), you all would be smearing on the eyeliner. It was all about fun, having a good time, getting laid, playing loud music, drinking beer, etc........I realize that some of the stuff I wore and the way I looked was over the top but it was all about fun. Music and bands nowdays have no idea on what they missed out on.

I would have never pegged Tiny Tim for being a "Bud man", I would have just guessed 'shrooms. ha ha ha

The only good glam bands were: T-Rex, Alice Cooper, Kiss, New York Dolls and Hanoi Rocks. everything else was just lame.

Stevie is my all time hero. I toured with several bands for years, had a great time, and saw stuff I'll never forget. I developed a taste and appriciation for all types of music. When all the cards are down on the table, for me, Stevie is the KING.

the car is still in the planning hunting gathering stage.

I did a search and no one had made use of the name yet so I grabbed it.

if I have to do a build-off against you to claim the name, I'll just make like Iron Maiden and "run to the hills" right now!

  12. I graduated HS in '85 so I'm of the same era, I loved hair metal and still listen to it on Sirius, some of it does of course suck, won't catch me blasting Poison on the radio in traffic. :)

    Damn, never got into that.
I was the only kid in my school digging on classic Blues, early psychedelia and good 'ol Rock'n'roll.
Hell, I had 'Buddy Holly Lives' on my bedroom wall at 13!
Though I do like the early EARLY stuff from some hair bands. Sweet Emotion is a great song! And any AC/DC until the mid/late 80s.

But yes Plowboy is a ruler, even if he does hang out in the Blue Oyster Bar with Cundilini and Bubba Zanetti.
    Doc.

You had better hunt up a big blower motor and then chop the living shit out of it. I have not had a car worthy of that name yet so I have been avoiding it. ha ha ha

Todd, you look like that guy from Korn....ha ha ha

    Black N Blue.........Great Band !!
    Big Cock..............Great Band !!

Check out........... VAIN, Heavens Edge, Ana Black, Maximum..........Those were some bad ass bands from back in the day that blew the doors of bands like Poison. They were not as safe and cute as Poison were but absolutely killed bands like them.

Class of 1989. At one point in the 1990s, I had hair halfway down my back. I still rock out to TNT, Kix, Lillian Axe, and lots of others from my hair band CD collection from time-to-time. Not a damn thing wrong with '80s hair bands.

Having said that, I've been listening to the Sonics all week. Last week it was Zeke / Supersuckers. I like to mix it up a bit. ;)

Manowar........lol. I knew the guitar player for them (Dave Shankle "The Death Dealer") who replaced Ross the Boss. They were hilarious. 5' 2" tall dressed in loin cloths yelling "Death to False Metal".........Excellant.
