The ULTIMATE GLAM band of the 80's in my opinion. This is what a rock band is supposed to look like.

The Whisky can still rock. This is (me) circa 2003:

Now I'm gonna drop something on y'all. Watch it all the way through. Don't bitch about the vocals. This is probably my Favorite band of all time. I've NEVER had a bad time seeing them. I once drove 7 hours to see them. If you like Robots, and you like Rock n Roll then you'll shit. Jbot, Gtrbot 666, automatom, and the headless hornsmen. People, I give to you..

    CAPTURED! By ROBOTS

I remember Teeze...........They were pretty cool before they changed into Roughhouse. KIX is a killer band, always put on a great show.

  7. Should I go out and take a picture of my personal plate Aces High, yes I was an 80's graduate too.

Well here we go.............The "Common" Hair bands.............

Poison. They were cool BEFORE They were signed. Their demos are better than anything they have done since.

RATT. Great Guitar Player in Warren DeMartini

Warrant..........Hmmmm...........Not my cup of tea. They were ok.

    Dokken...........George Lynch. Nuff said.

Cinderella.........cool singer & frontman with a lot of talent.

    Scorpions. Not glam at all.

Whitesnake. The Slide It In album was great. Again, not glam but go lumped into hair metal because they all started to lighten their hair.

But then again, there's that anti-hair, rock till you drop, cram 20 songs into a one-hour gig band that we all know and love: The Ramones.

    Gabba gabba hey!

  17. Wow.

I am so glad I was listening to thrash/punk and sk8ing back in the 80's. Still remember my hot pink Santa Cruz board and rocking the quarter pipe to Iggy and the Stooges and Anthrax.

Is it me, or does Sko Ford look like Munky from Korn in those pics?

  18. Todd, you look like you could have started your own cult back then..............wait a minute? Kropdusters? I get it ;)

RIP tony soprano... captured by robots are cool!
so was the 80's and hair metal.
I remember seeing poisons first album cover in the recod store, thought those chicks were hot!.... a few years later I realized the slight error of gender that I had placed on them...
I also remember the end.... I went to see Skid Row, pantera was opening with thier yet unreleased vulgar display of power material, and it was all over, hair metal took a back seat from that point on

well back when i was playing we opened for tesla, firehouse and many other bands. i remember seeing black and blue when they were jet boy. wow time has flown by, but those were some of the best times. they still use metal in movies, commericals ect. so when people say its dead then why does it seemed to keep getting played? i guess some of us are still alive and kickin.

Here's a video from my Band in the 90's that helped destroy
all your crappy hair metal bands of the 80's!
Eventually sold off all my rare guitars to buy cars
    Enjoy.

Here is one thing I got to do.............Jump off the drum riser at the beginning of our set and slip on the stage because the dry ice has it so damn slippery and kick all my pedals off the stage and almost landed on my ass. Thankfully, I did not become unplugged and was able to keep playing while one of our roadies scrammbled to set everything back up. Or when my drummer got a drumstick caught in his over hair-sprayed head and played a couple songs witha drumstick tangled up on his melon. That looked pretty funny and I about pissed myself I was laughing so hard.

  27. Whitesnake got me laid on more than one occasion....lol! I had a buddy that was "hard core" heavy metal(i.e. iron maiden). Gave him a Morbid Angel cd for his b-day once, he thought I was the fucked up one after that! My best friend was a Slayer FANATIC, listened to it so much riding around late at nite that I started seeing wierd shit....I have the black t-top Trans Am at the house, just waiting on my mullet to grow to start life over! lol
