Copied this in from the other post.

Not to burst any bubbles here but there is going to be no coverage of the OLD CROW speed shop at bonneville on the discovery channel special. They have decided not to show that portion in the United States. Evidently it will be shown on the broadcast to Europe and Asia but not here. I don't know the reason for this decision and as far as I know neither does Lucky or Bobby.

I'm still gonna watch it though.

Well I will be at work but I set it up on both of the Dvr's.

One in our room and the other in the family room.I will be able to view it from either when I get home in the mornin.

Excellent show! Thanks for the "heads up".

  20. I remember a young woman with her dad on the flats in maybe 96. She was riding a Kawasaki 100 small tire modified M/X bike. I was at the timing station with Don Cash and some other folks watching them celebrate her running the bike just a touch over 100 mph. She said "I hit the nitrous at" whatever point on her run, as was having one of the best days of her life. Is Leslie the same young woman? If so, congrats.

What a horrible show. Reminds me why I no longer watch the Discovery channel: repeat the same thing over and over, build fake drama, overemphasize fringe elements that might (who knows?) appeal to the Harry Homeowners out there, and pay absolutely no attention to the heart of the subject - in this case, the hundreds of hot rodders who build cars to race. Watching the blond on the rice rocket was neat for about ten seconds. What about everyone else?

I really like the 4 million dollar Hydro car and the 400,000.00 door slammer and the 150,000.00 sports bike. Why can't they show some real cars built by regular people who have regular jobs. I thought the show ****ed.

I didn't have any pre-concieved notions going in, so I thought it was okay...neither bad nor really good. The subject (and stories) of BSF could take up many, many DVD's. If they would do a do***entary on the history of BSF, then that would be cool. I do think they over-did the "crash" scene by continually repeating it....I got it the first time.

It doesn't take much to fill up an hour (actually about 50 minutes) so if I were producing the show, I probably would have followed the same 3 stories. But yeah, some old school stuff would have been nice.
