I was looking for information on that junkyard and ended up here. So does the guy in Jamestown, Tn. actually sale any of those cars or just buy everyone he can? Just curious it made me sick to see all of them wasting away.

ITs not recent,(can you tell..B&W?)but here is a photo I snapped of an abandoned junkyard in southern Mississippi when I was stationed in Biloxi. Can't find the other photos I had of it.Last time I went searching for it,I couldn't find the place. It was in the middle of nowhere and appeared to have not had any activity in 20-30 years.Newest car I saw there was about a 1948.They were restorable by todays standards. One was a huge 1930's aluminum bodied car, never figured out what it was. Some of you south Mississippi Gulf Coast HAMBers might remember the place.

These are from where I live around the Kokomo area. I took these earlier this year but I got a lot more from the last couple years. Anybody get down to that old car auction at Mitchell, IN last year? That sure was a fun weekend, watching people uproot Model Ts, As, and everything else.

well this has thoroughly depressed me thanks...

you guys should be grateful you even have scrapyards like this...

How the hell do they get cars out when they're so tightly packed in the middle of a forrest or something?

  12. your pics are much better. i stuck my cell phone through the broken windows to get mine. i've known about them since the early 90's. when i was in town i'd always go check on them. i've been in henderson for 15 years. i heard litherland has the lincoln. what about the camaro? it's a shame chris let that aar get so bad, there was always a rumor about that car....

The 2 where moved about 2 blocks away and put to sleep side by side again. I havn't asked about the Lincoln in a while but last I knew it was still there, I will have to check now and see.
As far as the rumor about Chris I can only imagine which one you are thinking about. lol.

I went out on a junk yard vacation in '04 and saw some pretty incredible salvage yards. This was in South Dakota, Wyoming and Nebraska.

    Some more photos...........

There is plenty of old tin out there. You might not find your deuce, but there certainly other choices for the budget minded.

I know the Camero is not and I think the same on the Lincoln. They are 2 different owners. The Camero is the owner of the furnitue companys.

Damn, I could use the right rear quarter panel trim, the grille wrap arounds, and the front fender trims off of that '51 Merc for mine. I don't suppose that's your car, is it?

More from southern Indiana, various locations. I was able to contact the owner of the 64 Galaxie XL convertible and he let me get everything I wanted off of it, sidetrim included but not pictured, for $150. A lot of nice interior stuff was still on this rusty thing. It's since been crushed.
