What an awesome thread! I thought I would add the pics of the two 51 fords I have. I am planning on doing a 4 door roll back hauler, although there are a lot of projects ahead of this one... so I might end up selling them to finish other projects.

Great ideas here. I have done searches for pics before online, and every picture I have found before is here plus a TON more!

Well, the Coe got to see some daylight. I pulled it out side to change hoists and to do some cleaning before eating turkey. My young bodyman/ friend came over Wednesday and rolled the bottoms of the rear stake pockets.
I am still closing in the ends of the running boards. I didn't know if this beast would fit the drive on hoist, but, It does. Enjoy the pictures.

I have one just like that! Well except mine has a dump truck bed and mine is ugly. We have been searching off and on for 2 years trying to find a decent set of doors for it. I will try to post a pic of it Sunday..

Here are a few pictures of progress. I have the gas tank located in place and the trailer hitch installed. I was able to use a mount for the drive shaft carrier bearing for the gas tank. :D I cut the hole in the rear pan for the hitch. This will be covered with the license plate. I will flush mount a gas door in the rear pan Enjoy!

I just saw this gem for sale on Hot Rod Hotline in the project cars section for $12500 and if I didn't have my '40 Ford COE project already I would be picking this one up. It looks like a nice old truck and would be a hell of lot less work. Some Hamber needs to jump on this one before it gets away.

P.S. I don't know the owner and have nothing to do with it's sale either.

    My old 63 C700,solid liftered,holley carbed,312" of Y block goodness.It was
only good for 60 mph or so but it would light up those big old ram horn style
exhaust manifolds with 10 ton on. Oh, and it helps if you unlock the tailgate
BEFORE you put the bed up...

I don't think so after looking closely at the reflections in the paint, shadows, background, etc. It sure looks real to me, but only the OLIVER BROS GARAGE knows for sure and he isn't talking!

How would the doors hinge if it were real? Creative, but fake.

  22. I've been trying to figure that out also Jim. Probably Gull Wing or Lambo hinges...ha
If we all get really quiet, I bet we can hear the Oliver Bros laughing their**** (s) off at us.

How do You get these trucks so low? Zting the frame and air ride? Or does it take much more to it than this?

I got mine about 5 inches off the ground just by body placement. The long skirts on the side help hide stuff.

    Hello cruiserbuddy,

Thanks fore your kinde words about my Truck.
I like to go to the Hamburg show next year to.
This year was A bit of a test year fore long distance driving.

My chassis is from A 72 GMC 1/2T Pickup. Dropt spindles and air ride together with puting the engine 32" back and 8" doun in the chassis will get enough room fore you to put the cab low on the chassis. I did also put the floor 3" up in the cab. But that depents on with engine you use.
    I have a 455 Buick.

I'm now working on some small thinks on the truck. Like A heater, glove box, towing hook, some steering adjusting.

What model COE do you want? I friend of mine in Holland hase A 47 Chevy COE Cab he mady wont to sell.

    Greetings Kooscoe.
