    these sold for $50 each

this sold for $ 12.50 haha

I think this sold for around $80 or $90

the pickup on the other side of this car sold for $300 I think

I didn't see what a lot of them sold for, I was trying as hard as I could to resist bidding on more stuff. haha

I think the trunk find is probably "set up" , but that would be REALLY cool if it turns out to be real.

there were also two 60s vws. I think one sold for $150 and the other sold for a little under a $100.

There were a a bunch of old tires and wheels sold together for $15. I saw a few chevy steel wheels and some artillery wheels in that group.

The AA truck didn't sell because he had a $4500 reserve on it.

Great score! I hate your guts! Build it, don't part it out.

Or just sell it for a tidy profit. ;)

    haha...

well, I think it will probably be a while before I get to this car. I'm planning on just setting it aside for now until I can do something with it. Like I said in the 1st post, I don't have anything to drive right now (wonder why huh?... I mean it's not like I just run around on weekends and blow money on 3 cars I don't need...haha)

so, I guess I really need to get some kinda truck goin. (shop truck/work truck or whatever)

and I would really love to get my 5 window on the road...

That's incredible! As much as you want to have a 32 3 window, part that thing out and use the cash to build something you can drive.... get that 5window going!

Just out of curiosity, where was that auction? I have family down there, and I'd promptly fall over dead if that was near the old homestead....

    It was in Marshall, TX

I think it's about 40 miles west of Shreveport, LA and about 150 miles east of Dallas, TX

Im with everyone else. Congrats and you sure got your head on straight. Get a running vehicle then FOCUS on those rods. You got some great tin just sitting around. Im jealous.

Another reason I want to move to TX.

I saw that auction advertised. Was the first one close to me that I've seen (4 hour drive). Couldn't make it though due to family Xmas. I do spot a lot of tin on road trips but never like that. Its rare even in Tx to get that amount for sale at any one time.

    Congrats on your purchases.

Not really for East Texas.....it's practically Louisiana over there. East Texas is beautiful though. I've found a lot of great cars in that area....lots of big stashes on farms.

Just a sidebar on these cars.........These cars were in Blackjack,a small community just east of Woodlawn,Tex.Hwy 59 between Marshall and Jefferson..Belonged to an old fellow named Corpier..recently died.family sold all cars to one man($20.000.oo)
The cars were moved to Marshall for the auction...I've known about these cars for 25 yrs.most of them look better in pictures than in reality..Hope the man made his investment back..kinda doubt it tho.......

I went past an overgrown old salvage yard up that way, I think it was in Mineola. You could see a bunch of cars in a****st the trees. Wish I had stopped.

Fantastic score... I like the shot of the 52 [I think it is] Chevy. It sure looks my first car. My dad bought it brand new from Joie Chitwood Chevrolet in Brooksville FL

    Here’s a small update if anyone's interested…

I got in touch with the guy I mentioned earlier (Bing). The cut down 3w was actually his older brothers car (Leroy). Leroy bought it in Fort Worth, TX sometime in the 50s or early 60s. It was already cut down when he got it. Bing thought that they had ruined the car, and said he would put it back to a coupe. But, Leroy liked it, and was going to leave it that way. He said he thinks it might have had a V8-60, but he’s not sure. It wasn’t running when he bought it and he never got it running.

Also, one of the trucks I got was his dads. It was pretty much used as a farm truck mostly, but he said he used it for anything and everything. He said his dad got a LOT of use out of it. He said he was kinda rough on it and was telling me about how he would drive on all the little dirt trails in the woods going 35-40 mph.

  30. I would literally have a heart attack the second my eyes fell upon that car. And i would **** my pants uncontrolably for the next week after scoring it for 750. Awsome Find!
