This car was the former Kohler Bros King Kong Anglia. It still retained the original 386/427 that was used in 66-67. It ran good numbers though

  3. Any info on the T and the Anglia in the background? Looks similar to the Pacers Auto Fuel Altered, but it's another way cool '23 T. BTW this is a shot I took of the original car at Island in '61 or '62.

This car was found and being restored by Jack Roush now, this was a bad ass car because he used the rules to his advantage in Pro Stock (longer wheelbase carried less weight). Jack was into Pro Stock racing (driving and wrenching) pretty heavy till he had a bad crash in a match race. Here is a picture of the car with a big block Chevy in it for testing.

Someone will clarify this but NHRA allows you to move or down(?) a class by changing the total weight of the car, Henry.

Well, I thought I would post a few pics of my Dad's old cars from the 60's and 70's. We raced mostly in Central CA.

That shot was taken at a show in the service area of the Chevrolet dealer in Freeport, NY around 1969. Sorry but I don't have any info on either of those cars. Pacers were / are a local club - if its not affiliated with them, it sure looks like it was influenced by them.

Even living in the nitro laden rich world of So-Cal, I enjoyed the comp eliminator type cars. Did your dad ever venture to So-Cal?

  13. Call Matt @ Victory he own the car, we made the pistons.

Bakersfield was about as far south as we went. Kingdon, Sacramento, Fremont and Sears Point were the main tracks I grew up at. My dad was a teacher, so in the summer we would go back to the mid west to help on the family farm and go to races on the weekends. I spent quite a bit of time in Glendive MT, and Saskatoon Sa. Cananda

  15. From this end all you would be able to hear would be the blower!!!! Thanks, Mike
