    HI,

    I'm looking for a 10" MOON tank.

MOON doesn't have any on their catalogue.
I wanted to know if there was some still available somewhere...

    Thanx

You can buy the tanks themselves from Speedway. A lot of people repop the original brackets on ebay. The tank is brushed aluminum but other than that it has the same dimensions as the small moon tanks.

I don't like the finish of the Spun tank, the alloy is diferent than the one used by MOON.

Apparently Moon doesn't do the fuel Tank they do only front tank...

You can get new and some nice used tanks on the online auctions ! If not many Speeed and Performance catalogues have them .

moon can custom make any tank you want. there's no tank like a moon tank. i'd pay a few extra bucks and get the real deal.

Seems like a fine wire wheel on a buffer would fix the course finish of the Speedway tanks. That's most likely what I'll end up doing when that time comes.

Check out the swap meets. I found a nice one with the brackets and the big "knockoff" style cap...I did have to give 'em $40 for it but it was worth it for the real thing.

  13. Here's a 2 1/2 gallon model.
Complete with brackets, but no retainer springs . . . which are illegal anyway.

Lotta history with this little tank.
Ran on a flathead fuel dragster.
A C/Gas Rocket powered Shoebox coupe.
Henry J drag racer when it ran 10's and into the nines.
    A 10 second Chevelle.
    A 10 second Pinto.

$250. and it's yours . . . I'll pay the shipping in the Continental US.

I've owned it since 1962 and it was used when we got it.

    thanx for the answer...

    But I forgot to specified that I wanted a 10" X between 30" and 40", minimum 10 gallons.

Moon or Eelco or any other good brand...

I don't like the finsh and quality of all the cheap spun tank....

I picked this up at a swapmeet (no cap), Moon 7 gallon dry sump oil tank, I plan on using it in the front of my 41, it's wide enough for that big ol wide front end.
