A friend sent this to me of the '32 Roadster he bought yesterday . Out in the country , an original metal car with a Cali ***le . Early SBC , '39 trans , '40 brakes , original front & rear end , a very nice present to himself ! The shed can be seen in the background..........Z.D.

Was actually a covered shed next to the barn , outside for the last few years . Not a staged photo......

Okay , it was a shed next to a barn . The paint looks better than it is , its not very good , probably at least 20 years old , no interior but it got a new top a few years ago.......A car in a barn or shed isn't always a pile of **** is it ?

Merry Christmas to him...! Regardless of where he found it. They don't all have to be junkers, or total rebuilds just because they are in a barn. There's plenty of NICE barns around here, better than most garages.

Somehow that car looks pretty familiar. Any idea of the history on it?
Nice "me to me" Christmas present for himself at any rate.

I acquired a 1941 Packard 7 p***. sedan last summer that's a real barn find. I'd add some pictures of it coming out of the little barn but I don't know how to post them. - billiardrules ..... email me at billiardrules@hotmail.com if you want to see them or know how I can upload them here.

And how do you convince yourself to wait 'for better weather' to move something like that after you've bought it? I couldn't have...I'd have moved it to my garage also.

In my experience, when some old codger decides he is actually going to sell one of these cars - you RACE over to the garage/shed/barn/tiki bar - whatever it is, and PAY THEM for it immediately, and get it OUT of there place as soon as possible, before they change their mind, or more importantly, someone else gets to them and offers more money than you are paying!

I'd haul that car out in the middle of a hurricane if it meant the difference between getting it, or not getting it.

just talked with lonnie, its a real steel 32 roadster. he said he wished it looked as good in the pictures as it does up close, he said it needs a total resto, but for now he is going to fix the brakes and see if he can get it running, wow what a cool ride.

  28. Even if it's only a good 20 footer, it's a great Christmas present, lucky SOB.
